And I guess I'm already there! (with credit to Talking Heads for their lyrics)
Yes, I'm 'home alone' for the next few days as DH is at work & DD is now away to her course in the US.
I've just joined the Healthy Eating Challenge Team & so today... it's time to revamp my pantry, cupboards and fridge/freezer. This won't take too long; since I did this awhile ago, I hope this will just be a tune up!
Doing laundry today too as I can't pass up hanging up sheets & towels outside today.
Spark on, everyone!
Here's to a successful week!

Up at 6:30, left for the city by 7:20 (and saw our daughter off on her drive to the US west).
Got home at midnight last night. And all this on 3.5 hours sleep!
But accomplished a lot... bought sheets for condo bed, washed, dried & put them & blanket on the bed ... still no duvet or comforter, but at least the bed is ready to sleep in & is a big 'leap' up from the twin foam mattresses on the floor!
Visited with our winter housesitting owners for over an hour & broke the news to them that we won't be housesitting for them anymore.
Had hoped to fit the new dining chairs into the suv 2 per trip, but could only fit 1 per trip... so it was nearly 8pm by the time we made the 4 trips back & forth to the store. And then we went to another store for the table. But... the dining area at the condo is all set up now & looks great! After that, a quick supper (at 9:30pm) and then a 2 hour drive home. Not sure how eating so late translates into being down another pound this morning, but who am I to argue?? LOL!
Msg from our daughter says they made it safely to their destination last night after a long day of driving. So nice to have that msg before bedtime!
Today, making a rhubarb pudding cake to take to tonight's supper with friends. We'll try to get away early to look around their villages' interesting shops first!

Got the top floor almost done before lunch. Heading up to finish it soon. After lunch, DD & I sorted through her kitchen supplies (that she brought home from univ). She's got a container of things to go with her on her trip. This motivated me to start the kitchen cleanup... I figure I'll finish the guest room in the attic that I started this morning, and if I do a bunch of cleaning/ organizing in the kitchen this afternoon, that goes a long way on the main floor cleaning too! On ward!!! LOL!

Can anyone suggest some motivation for me? I finally did a 'proper' workout this morning and feel better for it (for the past several days I've been going for short walks, but my legs have been giving me grief so haven't done much more than that).
Anyway, where I need motivation the most is cleaning my house from top to bottom. It just sucks that I do this and then before I know it, it needs doing again (and I know that most of you can relate to this!) I'm on the go so much I don't have long stretches of time to accomplish much, but this week I'm home until Friday morning... I figure if I tackle one floor per day I'll get it done... but I've other things that must be done too. Sigh....and the weather is too nice to be stuck inside cleaning LOL!
DD is busy packing for her road trip to the her photography course in the States. DH has taken off for work in the city and will be back Thursday night, just in time to say goodbye to DD on Friday morning. Then he & I will go back to city, when he's at work, I'll perhaps visit my folks (if I feel well enough after a short rest), then we'll go and pick up our 4 dining chairs for the condo.
The condo is to be all painted by the end of today... DH will get to see it before I do, but I chose to be here with DD so I can see her as much as possible before she leaves!
Well, have 1 more article of clothing to mend (have done 3 since my workout finished), then it's time to clean!
Have a happy day, everyone!!!

Yesterday I picked up a copy of this book for $2. Good basic information here written by a successful NYC dermatologist. Decided to look here on SP to see if there is a team... can't find a team, but WOW... high school reunions are sure mentioned... a LOT.
I don't have a high school reunion coming up but I do have the opportunity to attend the closing 'party' for the elementary school I attended. What's really disconcerting to me is that I started school there (grade 1, no KG for me back then) not long after the school opened, so I'll be one of the oldest folks there (if I go that is)! Still undecided. Likely won't be many there who would remember me anyway, and many of my teachers have passed away. DH is encouraging me to go, but I know if the situation were reversed, he wouldn't be going!!!
I'll continue to read the book either way... lots of common sense here and I like the writing style!
