Kickboxing

Today was kickboxing and it was good. Each week is better than the last - I am able to keep up and I am not losing breath as quickly.

Still keeping the diet around 1200 calories while playing around with different food combinations. I am finally starting to not feel hungry all the time.

Time to start planning my weekend workouts and July's menu. Happy sparking :)

    Do you kickbox using a DVD workout or attend a class somewhere??? My daughter keep talk about giving it a try but haven't yet....

Keep on moving

I was walking up the stairs at work this morning and I got the song from Finding Nemo - "keep on swimming, keep on swimming" Now I know I wasnt swimming but it kept me going up the stairs and I made it without stopping.

The same song kept me going when the kids and I took the dogs for a walk. I had planned on 30 minutes - but lets face it. I live in AZ and its damn hot outside. It was over 100 today. And I get up dang early so going out any later than 6 doesnt really work. So I gave it a go and was out for 20 minutes. I took water but I still started getting a headache and weak. So I cut it short but I am proud of myself. I usually would not even attempt to walk in June in AZ. I hope that the more often I go out, the more I will get used to the heat and will eventually make it to the 30 minutes or maybe longer.

Food is still going good but I know I can get more bang for my 1200 calorie a day bang. My typical menu is coffee, fruit and a sammie made with egg beaters, turkey bacon and 2%milk cheese on a multi grain light english muffin. Lunch is a frozen diet meal(Lean Cuisine, Healthy Choice or WW) and raw veggies. Snack is watermelon. Dinner is lean protein and veggies. I have been skipping carbs because they are too high in cals and not very filling. If I have calories left, I have been trying to sneak in some sweets at night. Definitely time to try and find some new menu ideas.

All in all, I am feeling very confident in my ability to keep going.

  


Week two - Time to weigh in

Well today is the begining of week two and weigh in day.

And the results are - 2.5 lbs down emoticon

I am very happy with my results and hope to achieve similar results for week two. I am still fine tuning my food intake. There are days, like today, where I came in under calories and my fat, protein and carbs were all low. I have had a few days like this. Trying to adjust but still stay under 1200 calories is challenging to say the least. But I will get it figured out. Let me just say that watermelon is my new best friend; 10 ounces for under 100 calories. Filling and full of water. Yummy. Celery too.

Gym day today. Spin, step and sculpt class. It was good and I know I did better than lat week. Instructor said she can already see a difference. I am also continuing my stair climbing at work. I work on the 4th floor and I used to always take the elevator. I started last Monday and have taken the stairs every day. Up anyways. LOL I have a tendancy to trip on the way down so I have been taking the elevator down. Maybe once I can see my feet and build my balance back up I will take the stairs down.

I am feeling confident about my journey. I have done it before and I can do it again. I just need to dig in and do it. And I feel that having one successful week behind me is great motivation to keep going and not give up.

    Congrats on your lost. That was almost 3lbs and that is amazing. Just keep doing what you are doing and you will done fine. Stay motivated and do not ever lose focus on your goal. I may have not lose much weight since joining myself but staying focus has helped me from not going all the way back up to 202lbs. I have also learned things about myself and my eating habits. Anyway congrats again. emoticon
