Little late, but still going! :)

Sunday, January 30, 2011

I'm getting my blog in a little later in the day than I care to, but here I am!!!

Had a great day yesterday, but was crazy busy! My son had a birthday party, so my dear hubby took him to that. I spent 2 hours at the salon, treating my girlies to a wonderful wash, cut, and style! Oh, do I love their hair! Sooooo cute, and they didn't even know what it was like to be pampered like that! The stylist did an awesome job!
We had some of our very dear friends over for dinner (they cooked), she had brought a HUGE pan of lasagna, complete with salad. I did the garlic bread. I was soooo proud of myself. I had half a piece with salad, and no garlic bread! It was so good. I was good!
My youngest daughter was at a sleepover, and when she got home today, she started running a fever. It's been as high as 102.5. Don't know what the heck is going on here! I hate it when my babies are sick!! So, it looks like I'm going to have her home with me today! That's okay..., it's not going to stop me from getting up at 5:15am to go do my workout! I don't have to work tonight..., so nice!

Have a great week! Looking forward to getting sweaty again this week! Should be getting my new shoes in from shipment at the end of this week! CAN'T WAIT!

Night all! :)

Wow! I sure hope that you are feeling tons better! This is the only part of winter that I don't like, is that you are so succeptible to all the flu stuff! :)

Yeah, that stuff is going around especially with the kids. My grandson came in Friday night from out of town, sick running a 103 fever. Tylenol did the trick. Although, lookng wrung out he did well the next day. On Saturday I came down with stomach flu and fever and body aches. Whew! Hits adults too.

Lost a jean size!!!!!!

Saturday, January 29, 2011

So last night, we had a get together at Applebee's for my niece that turned 15 on Thursday. I had no idea what the heck I was going to wear. I had been given some jeans by my sister, that before my weight gain over the holidays, I could fit into. 2 pairs of these jeans are a size 16 (I wear an 18). I thought, you know, I'm going to try one of these on. THEY FIT!!! Right then and there, I knew that just because I am not dropping tons of weight, I am losing inches! I am just going to keep going, because that was total inspiration for me!!! I was a good girl (for the most part)at Applebee's and stuck with one of their "under 550" dinners. It was really good. I did slide a little and indulged in one of their chocolate shooters, but you don't want to deprive yourself totally from goodies, or you will go backwards. Tomorrow...new day, better choices!

Who'd thought I would be liking this whole exercising thing again..., I didn't. Have a fantastic day everyone!! emoticon

Losing the inches definitely shows we are losing the weight. WTG!

Jeans are so important. It is a great feeling to fit into them again. Applebee's is a favorite of mine. Their healthy menu is a great idea!

Weekend, here I come! :)

Friday, January 28, 2011

Ordered my new Skechers today! So excited that I actually hit my goal of going to the gym everyday, and not missing more than 1 day in the work week. I have to work tonight, which is unusual, because I normally don't have to work on Fridays...not looking forward to it. I will take my workout clothes though, and get one in before going home Saturday morning! It will be good!

Worked out this morning. Buddy wasn't there. :( Did 25 minutes of the circuit course instead of 30, because I had someone stop me going out of the door at work, needing something. arggggh!! Did the elliptical for 35 minutes. Felt better. Didn't eat worth a darn yesterday (not enough calories, which can be just as bad), so was feeling a little yucky last night going into work. Feel better today, but have sooooo much to do, I don't know where to start! :) I guess I will start with getting my hair cut! That'll do the trick!

My new goal for the next month is once again, going at least 4 times a week to the gym, and losing at the very least, 2lbs. If that happens, then I get a new outfit! I know I can do this! Hope you all have a sparktacular weekend! :) Keep sparking!

Shazam!!!

Thursday, January 27, 2011

I can't believe it! I went to the Y today right after lunch and I did an hour on the elliptical. Now I don't just go at my own pace when I do this, I go full speed running the whole time. I do intervals, which means I am constantly going up and down on my workout! Wow! 5.25 miles! I am getting better at this thing! I felt fantastic today!

My hubby is taking half a day off, and we are going to tour the school that I am trying to get my kiddos in next year. I went there all of my elementary years, and loved it. However, they tore that school down and built a brand spanking new one! Kinda excited to see the inside and find out if they are as awesome now, as they were back in the day!

Ate good again last night. I fixed me a piece of fish on my George Foreman, with a baked potato and broccoli cheese steamer. Eating off of my "salad" plate, and ended up throwing 1/2 my potato away. Yum-o! Hope all of you have a fantastic day! I am going in for yet another workout in the morning to kick some butt!

Feeling the SPARK!!! Oh, New Skechers...I'm coming for you!!! :)

Congratulations on your 'spark'. The elliptical is still my favorite at the rec center. Not so hard on the knees. Looking forward to when I can do as well as you do on it!

Thanks you guys! I've "sparked" something! I couldn't have even imagined doing just 15 minutes on that thing just 3 weeks ago! :) Glad that I am finally "getting" it! Was thinking I was going to be really sore..., not too bad. :)

Exhausted..., but still good!

Wednesday, January 26, 2011

I got home this morning, and I am finding it a wee bit easier to sleep during the day (for a 2 hour span) after I get off of work, especially with all the working out I am doing! I still have to tell myself it's a "nap", so that I don't sleep all day! I am going to get some zzzz's this morning, and then go workout after lunch. Hopefully, I won't be fighting for a machine. Didn't get to go this morning, so I gotta make up for it someway, somehow! :)

End of month at work is coming, and that is yucky, so I hope that it doesn't interfere with my routine!

Have a wonderful day! Keep Sparking! emoticon

Thank you, and you do the same! I work 3rd shift, so getting my sleep is tedious, to say the least, but I am trying! :) Have a great day!!
