Weekends are so hard... I want to keep my motivation! It' really hard to do that. Seems that I am out of my waking up early and hitting the gym, which is something that I want to get back into....now! I have my kiddos home with me, my husband is gone at the moment, so right now it's not a choice. I will have to provoke myself onto the exercise equipment that I have here at home..., or do housework. Either way, that will get my blood pumping!

Worked out yesterday, and I felt great! Just 30 minutes on the Elliptical and I was good to go. No big plans, except going to a 4 year old's birthday party on Saturday, and then off to my hubby's grandmother's for a visit. She's 87 years old and is doing great.
I am going to try and work in a little bit of cardio. I've been sleeping in on the weekends, and need to get back into my routine of getting up early and going to the gym, but when you don't get much sleep over the course of a week, you tend to take advantage of the sleep you do get! Didn't get to meet my friend at the Y, but am going after I drop off my kiddos! Maybe it won't be so packed! Ha..., likely story! Hope all of you have an awesome weekend!

So I absolutely love to cook! I love being in the kitchen (which can be hindering, depending on what I am fixing), and I love cooking for my family. Well, I had found a recipe for "healthified chicken pot pie". I was in the mood for some comfort food, being that is was so cold yesterday, so I made it! My husband sees the word healthified in the title of a recipe, and he wrinkles up his nose and smirks at me! "Oh no", he says, jokingly! :) Turns out that he loved it (2 servings of it, which no longer makes it "healthified), but it's an ongoing joke in my house when I find something like that! I just love the fact that I am having leftovers today for lunch, and only 1 serving of it on my "salad plate"! :)
Kids are going back to school for 2 days and then a 4 day weekend! WTH??!!! Craziness, I say! I just want to get back to normal!!!

I met my friend up at the Y this morning and good Lord, was it cold! I RAN up to the entrance! Heehee
I love the elliptical! It is my favorite piece of equipment to use up there. I am glad I went, as we had pizza last night, and I was a little bad...2.5 pieces. I didn't feel like cooking and my hubby didn't make it home till late. Today is a new day..., better choices, and I got my workout in already. Climbing the stairs to have to do laundry, isn't a bad thing! :) I will just have to do it at least 8 times today! Only 4 loads..., that's amazing in itself, especially around here!

Well, I went to the gym everyday during my work week, except for Thursday (my daughter got the stomach flu)! Felt great getting back into it, not to mention, I found a buddy to go with! What a difference that made..., being held accountable to show up and not stand that person up! Love it! This week is proving to be a challenge, as it snowed here, and I decided to keep my kiddos home for the day. Now school was cancelled for Tuesday, and I didn't bring my workout clothes with me. Will I look like too much of a dork going to the gym to do the elliptical in a pair of jeans and my workout shoes?? Should I care..., no, not really! I think that is in the plan, because once I get home, I will have to take on the task of being mama for the day, since I will have a house full of children! :P) I NEED to do this. I know I will feel better if I get it in for the day! Looking forward to getting back to "normal" scheduling this week, but for now, I am going to enjoy the day with my children!
