mmmkay I gained inches?

Sunday, March 18, 2012

Before you say it; Yes yes I measure in the same spots every time.

I am going to make the assumption that my gain in inches is due to water weight since the increased inches were in my belly and hips. I do feel slightly bloated. I have had weeks where i didn't lose any inches but I have never increased before.

It doesn't feel right. I lost almost 3 lbs. Weird. Anyway I am not letting it dictate my day or anything.

Today is my rest day and rest I shall. Well all except the part where I will be working on tiling my master bathroom floor and helping my bf move boxes into the house. He is moving in. Yay. Finally.

My dad and step-mom are in town and we are going to breakfast. I am not looking forward to it for 3 reasons. 1 it is at 10am. I eat breakfast around 8 or 830 every single morning so it is screwing up my schedule. 2 Big Boy does NOT have a nutrition guide on their site so I am flying blind. 3 I don't like Big Boy. Of course it will be nice to spend time with the rents. Sigh. lol

Have a good day everyone!

OOOOOO! I almost forgot. I received my cookbook in the mail yesterday. I am so excited!

You crack me up! I wouldn't worry too much about the gained inches. You're doing everything right and you're still losing pounds. Maybe you're just building muscle from all the he-man demolition you're doing to the bathroom floor. ;)

Have a great day, friend!

Whoa!

Friday, March 16, 2012

We have several DIY projects happening at our house- all at once.

We are building a room, tearing down our shed because a new one is on its way, re tiling the master bathroom floor, switching the kids bedrooms around and repainting all of them.

I worked all day, cleaning houses. I came home and helped tear down the shed. 4 hours of moving lumber and removing nails. I even did a few tiles on the bathroom floor.

So tired. But I will have you know I did some exercise anyway. I did an 18 min 1 mile walk away the pounds dvd.

That's all she wrote. I am going to make a light dinner(Yes yes I know it is 9:17 est) and watch tv till I pass out!

It was a gorgeous day here! I hope you all had a fantastic day!

Free membership

Thursday, March 15, 2012

2 days ago I bought a cookbook from an ad on facebook. More accurately I got a free cookbook by paying 4.95 for shipping and handling. I also got a free 2 week trial membership at JillianMichals.com. She has some really cool tools on her site. Unfortunately it is too expensive for me so I am not keeping it. I am going to poke around this week and cancel next week. At any rate I used her calorie level calculator today to figure out my calories to maintain my weight and my deficit to lose. Pretty neat.

Here are the results
Based on my age, height, weight, and activity level I can eat up to 2518 calories a day to maintain my weight. ( I clean homes for a living so most days I am on my feet the entire day.)

so 2518(calories I burn by being alive lol)-1000(calories to burn each day for a 2lb a week weight loss)=1518 calories to eat a day to lose that weight. ( I recalculated for days when I am not working or have a short day and it is 2362-1000=1362)

My target heart rate is 156 beats per minute while working out.(based on my age)

She says my healthy weight for my height is 135. That will never happen. There are 2 reasons for this. 1 that is too much work to get down to that weight and 2 I don't want to be that thin. I am not trying to be a skinny thing. Puke. I like a little meat. I think women are sexier with curves. According to her chart I need to be under 146 to not be considered overweight. Which is good for me. My first goal is 150 and my ultimate goal is 145. We both win lol

If she would bill in shorter cycles I would probably keep the membership there but she bills every 13 weeks making it 52 bucks a whack. I can't afford that.

I am really looking forward to receiving her boost your metabolism cookbook.

Have a great day all!

She has a lot of the same tools that Spark has. There are food and exercise counters, articles, quizzes, recipes etc.

I like her too. She is tough. I love it. I feel great when I am done working out "with" her. I feel accomplished :)

That's interesting. I was curious about what Jillian had on her site that would be helpful. I have one of her DVDs and love it. In fact just an hour ago I did that workout.

Best wishes,
Lori

Good news and bad news

Monday, March 12, 2012

I always like my bad news first so here it is-I had a really hard time eating like a healthy person this weekend. More trouble than normal. I way over did it. I felt like poopy last night too. I am not upset with myself or anything. I just need to find a way to make more positive choices.

Good news- even though I made HORRIBLE food choices I lost 1lb and 5 inches. :) Yay me emoticon

Would have been more pounds but that is ok. I am consistently exercising and eating very well the rest of the week. I am determined to crack the code on positive weekend eating.

When I discover the secret I will let you all know! lol

Have a great day! I am off to exerciseland.

I find sometimes I'll still loose when I freak out and eat too much but mostly I won't loose or even gain - - last week :) Plus you feel Yuck! I am with you the weekends are really, really, really hard. I think if I was more busy on the weekends that would help but I really enjoy not being busy on the weekends and hanging out most of the time. For sure let us know if you figure anyway around it. emoticon

    lol Crystal! Big hugs! emoticon

I eat super healthy most of the time. Super duper healthy. I also walk at least ten miles a week and workout 6 days a week for about an hour each session. I work for every ounce and inch lost. Believe me! I am sweating for it!

The 2 weeks prior to this were dismal weight loss and inch wise. I had only lost 1 lb a week both those weeks and only an inch and a half both those weeks combined.

It varies. Hang in there! You can do it! So can I!
