After over a year of working on it

After over a year of working on it, I finally finished working on my knitted leftover yarn afghan. I started it in June 2011 and I finished it today. I did get started on another knitted leftover yarn afghan but I'm only on the first row of 4 stitches. I may work on it some more when I go to bed if I can't get to sleep. I am thinking of selling the one that I started tonight but I have to wait and see how big it gets and how long it takes me to do it to figure out how much it's going to cost first. I will have pics up whenever I get the pics taken. Rigt now it's drying in the dryer.

We went to dad's chiroprator appointment and had his oldest brother with him since the brother was complaining about his hip. He even had a cane with the 3 pool ball where your hand goes. This guy has been doing a lot of faking here lately. When we left he was using it a lot but wasn't when we got him back home. Until we got to the front door and started using it. I was right behind the man both times. Coming and going. Now we have to take the brother to the chiropracter on Friday and a doctor appointment that afternoon plus 3 times a week to the chiropractor for the next 3 weeks. So we're going to be busy with the brother for a few months with going to the chiropractor. The chiropractor decreases after 10 visits.

Been a little sleepy today. Didn't get the chance to get to take a nap. I was in the back seat of our Escape and I can't get a nap in back there. Maybe tomorrow if we go to Galesburg, IL.

What is your inspiration to lose weight? Mine is a 2 month and 3 day old little girl named Katelynn. My grandniece. I want to be around for her if she needs me. She is one of my inspirations to lose weight. Plus I want her mommy, aunt, and two uncles to see me in a different look than being overweight. I've been overweight their entire life and I don't want Katelynn to see me like this growing up. Plus I want to chase her around the house, get down on the floor and play with her, and be there when she gets married and has her own family. Plus whenever her parents have more kids.

Today wasn't too bad of a day. Went to Bushnell, IL twice today. One was to go and get the two dogs that belong to the guy who runs the garage here in town. His wife has her insurace agency down there and the dogs were there. Then we took a Caddy SUV down to get something checked under the hook in the afternoon. Then we went to Galesburg, IL, to run errands for the same garage. Tomorrow is chiropractor appointmet for dad (going to take dad's oldest brother with us) and back to Bushnell, IL, for an alignment. The place we're going to do the alignment job is the same place we had the SUV at.

Today wasn't too bad. Don't think that it got into the 90s at all. I think that it stayed in the 80s all day. That's good. Tomorrow I'm not so sure about. I think in the 90s. We're suppose to get some rain tonight but I'm not sure. I hope so. We REALLY need it.

My inspiration is family also, but in a different way. My mother died of breast cancer when I was 21. That has sort of hung over me, for years I wouldn't get a mammogram because I was afraid of what I might find out. One day a friend told me he would tie me up and drive me to the mammogram place if I didn't make an appointment. Turns out his mom was a breast cancer survivor and he feels she wouldn't be alive if she hadn't gotten mammograms so that her cancer was detected early. Well, I know that being overweight is a risk factor for cancer and I'd like to up my chances of avoiding that diagnosis. Report Inappropriate Comment

My inspiration is Physical Freedom. I want to be able to move freely, travel comfortably and not always be making decision that put limits on me because I am overweight. I imagine a future where decision do not have weight as a consideration. Your grandniece is so lucky to have someone who wants to be around for her if she needs. A long and beautiful day

It's a beautiful day so far and it was great to walk in with the dog. Was thinking on a 3rd walk with the dog this morning but going to wait until later.

My dad must be getting up because the dog is really wagging her tail hard. She does that whenever he's getting up. And he is up.

I almost thought that I had lost some weight but I haven't. I'm still at 199 pounds. I had my clues on letting me know that I've lost weight. I'm hoping soon that I will be lose some weight. I'll be adding more workout DVDs and exercises and hopefully treadmills and stationary bikes. I need to get down to 180 pounds to where I can get off of my blood presure medicine. I have 3 months and 2 days until I see my doctor and he can take me off of the medicine. Plus I'm going to see if I can go every 2 years to see him instead of every year.

When I turned on the computer this morning, it showed 77 degrees. Now it's 79 degrees. It's showing that we are going to get up to 90 degres today. At least it's not the triple digit heat.

We went to get our vehicle serviced today at the car dealership we got it at. It ended up being free for some reason. I think its a loaty program thing that the dealership has.

It's up to 89 degrees. I think that it got up to 90 degrees today but I'm tot sure.

I asked my dad if we could make it to Dayton, Ohio on a take of gas with our 2011 Ford Escape and he said yes. And we will have enough to run around the town for a while. THat's good. WE did have enough gas in our 2012 Ford Focus when we had it.

I worked on my knitted leftover yarn afghan 3 times today and I'm getting really close in getting it done. I might be able to get it done by the weekend at the rate I've been working on it. If I can't get to sleep tonight I may work on it then. I've been working on it for over a year now.

Its 77 degrees right now. Last week it was in the 90s at this time. At least its not as hot as it was in the house as last week but I'm going to wait until the house is 100% cooler to do a workout DVD.

I'm working on my 2nd 2L bottle of water right now. I'm hoping to get it done before I go to bed tonight.

A much cooler day

It got up to 91 degrees but it's now 72 degrees. But the house still feels warm but not as much as it did when we had the triple digit temperatures. At least I'm not having sweat pouring down my face and neck from the heat. The dog is still panting but she's not panting as much as she was before. The cat isn't panting either. That's good.

I got to go on 3 walks with the dog today. 2 this morning and 1 this afternoon. I thought that I might be walking to church this morning but didn't. Dad got up before 9am and we got to church in time. Almost thought that we were going to be late. I'm hoping for more walks with or without the dog this week. Maybe I can walk around the parking lot of the car dealership we are going to go to tomorrow to get our vehicle serviced in the afternoon or morning. I can't remember.

I drank 2 of my 2L bottles of water today. I refilled the one that I had when we saw my dad's oldest brother today. The brother's stepson has a fridge that has ice and water in it and I refilled the bottle there. It seems like I'm always thirsty and having to pee when I'm at that house for some reason. Today was no different.

I'm finally off of my T.O.M now and thank goodness. Was getting sick and tired of being on it. I was going to get a bottle of cranberry juice to help get rid of it but it slowed down before I could. I feel like I'm human again when it's gone.

Last of the 100+ days

Today is the last of the 100+ degree days. I hope so. The last time that it got that hot was in August 1988 when my parents, my aunt and uncle (my late mom's brother and sister-in-law) and myself went to the Illinois State Fair in Springfield, IL. We spent most of the day there until the concert (Ricky Van Shelton and Randy Travis) that night. It was over 100 degrees when we went into the concert and it was 96 degrees by 11pm that night. We were in the 22nd row (out of 25 rows) of the grand stand and we had no air movement. Right now its 92 degrees.

I'm fighting a headache right now no thanks to the heat. I don't have to worry about them after tomorrow when the temperatures get down into the 80s .

I cannot wait for the temperatures to get down into the 80s because I can do my workout DVDs. The house has been too warm to do them inside so I'm hoping to do them starting tomorrow afternoon. I could do them now but its still too warm to do them. I've been sweating ever since I got up this morning.

My headache is gone. I took something for it a while ago. But not all of the headache is gone. Just the worse of it is gone. It'll take a while before the rest of it goes.

My cat is doing something that I haven't seen a cat do when its hot. And that is to pant with its mouth open. Out of all the cats we've had, my cat is the only one that has been panting

We went to Target and had lunch and walked around to cool off. It feels better than being in this house where its hot. It got over 100 degrees today and now it's 83 degrees. It's suppose to get down to 72 degrees and in the 80s tomorrow.

I feel like I'm melting. I'm sweating in every part of me. I feel like I'm in a sauna. That's how hot it is in here. You would think that I would lose some weight with the amout that I've been sweating. I'm almost to the point where I need to change my pjs. That's how warm it is.

My heat rash is still around but it hasn't itched since we were at Target. I ended up taking a nap in our 2011 Ford Escape coming home and taking a nap in my room not too long af ter we got home from Target. The itch was on my back right where my sports bra lands between the shoulder blades. But it cleared up after I took some Benedryl. Its not itching now.

I grew up in Southern Illinois so I loved going to the Springfield Fair. SO much fun. And then of course, near the end of Summer was the Du Quion Fair which was always called the State Fair. It was big. Report Inappropriate Comment
