Did well today, I seemed to be full all day. did not have any craving and was able to shop for veggies and fruits.

It is so frustrating for me later. Lots of changes in life. I am still yo-yoing on the weight issue. decided to start the program hoping that it will give me that boast. Exercising is my weakness. I do have the Wii as well at an interactive X-box. Need to incorporated those tools into my daily plan.

Wishing to lose about 10 more pounds by December 1. I think I can do it, without starving myself.

Getting ride of all the big clothing and keeping only the things that fit me now. Even going to get ride of the small cloth I wish one day to get into. I am thinking it might remind me of the old days. I new to Move on to the New Me.

Time for a check up

Here I am, Daughter off the college and Hubby and I at home alone. This is the time to be very careful that I stay on track. Do not gain weight and work on my Food plans. I have been on Sensa, a sprinkle plan. It was a good plan. However I still need a journal and learn to have a good meal plan. I am coming back to SparkPeople to get this help. this is the only place I have found to be very helpful in the part of the walk to a new( or my old,young) body.
I have put in my weight and food intake. Notice I have made progress, although it was slow. With my Metabolism slower and at my young age of 58 it is a challenge to lose.

I am glad to be back and am thankful for the site.

Making progress.

I am making progress losing the weight. Been watching what I eat. My cravings have been uner control. I am still using a weight loss plan. Hubby wanted me to get a new one. which we did. However, it is one that seems to include artificial sweetners. I have gotten completely off them and feel pretty good. It also have less carbs. almost mirrors the Adkins diet,. I really do not like that one. I lost 40 pound on it a few years ago and then gain it all back plus. The kind that I am on now help me change my eating habits and controls my cravings. I noticed that I really do not want those items anymore. So, my thought is I am changing my lifestyle with food.

That is a better way to lose weight and keep it off. Learn how to eat out and how to fix the foods in the home. Cooking with better ingredients and healthier sugar options. Mostly using Low to medium glycemic index ingredients.

A change in diet for me.

Now that the new year is here, think I will make a good change. I do like meat, however I will go more towards Vegetable and Less Meat. I have been feeling petty good lately. Having lost the 20+ weight and the inches falling off, my confidence is getting better.

So for this year I will limit my meat to twice a week. eating more vegetables the rest of the week. Oatmeal in the mornings and maybe a soup in the afternoon. Since the rest of the family will want meat. I will make a regular dinner and for me it will be vegetables and maybe a whole grain pasta.
I am eager to see how much this will lead to more weight loss.

I will have to take some vitamins for sure. Melaluca makes good ones and I will begin using them again.

So for a new change I will log my daily meals here. To start off it will be posted weekly. That is so I can look back on my decisions. Now on the other side, You all can help me out by giving me ideas of meals. I am wishing to make a impact on the family, So they will want to join in with me.

    I have a favorite vegetarian go to meal that my family will all eat. Cheese Enchilada Casserole (from The Best of Cooking Light Everyday Favorites cookbook.) It is 299 calories per serving. Because of the bottled taco sauce, it's a little high in sodium at 1029 mg. If you make your own sauce, or look for a lower sodium one you can lower that.

For lunch, I eat a half a sweet potato, covered with 1/2 cup brown rice, and a 1/2 cup black beans. Add 2T light sour cream, and .13c of salsa. It doesn't look pretty, but it is one of my favorite quick lunches when nothing else sounds good. It is from the nutrition tracker generated meals.

I am sure there are some good recipes in the Spark recipe section too for vegetarian or vegan.
