We Shall Not Cease

Thursday, April 17, 2008

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.
Through the unknown, remembered gate
When the last of earth left to discover
Is that which was the beginning;
At the source of the longest river
The voice of the hidden waterfall
And the children in the apple-tree
Not known, because not looked for
But heard, half-heard, in the stillness
Between two waves of the sea.
Quick now, here, now, always -
A condition of complete simplicity
(Costing not less than everything)
And all shall be well and
All manner of a thing shall be well
When the tongues of flame are in-folded
Into the crowned knot of fire
And the fire and the rose are one.

yesterday was a toughie

Thursday, February 07, 2008

whew what a day and I struggled thru it. I wanted to just snack my brains out all day! I am grouchy when I get like that too. I skipped all exercise yesterday because I was so sore from doing the butt busters workout. I am going to focus on no more complaining today--I am finding that really hard to do! lol

Quote for the day:

"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense." -Ralph Waldo Emerson

1 week down...I will not let my fire go out-we are our own heroes

Sunday, February 03, 2008

I would call it a success! I feel great and have much more energy! What really surprised me the most was that I was able to keep up with cardio and stay on track. Baby steps really do add up-not just on a health level but a confidence level. I am my own worst enemy and sabotager (not sure that's a word)! I have finally identified the culprit (me lol)!

Quote for the day:

Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark, in the hopeless swamps of the approximate, the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish, in lonely frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able to reach. Check your road and the nature of your battle.

The world you desired can be won. It exists, it is real, it is possible, it is yours.

Ayn Rand
