been a long time

Wow I cant believe that I been off of spark people for this long and that its been over a year since I posted a blog. First I wanted to thank everyone from done girl team for wishing me a happy birthday, It meant alot to log on after not being on since February to see so many people wish me a happy birthday.

My life have been so busy that I have not been making myself a priority. I stop exercising and my eating as been ok but could be better. today I weighted in for the first time since February and I gained 3 pounds, which is not too bad considering usually I gain 10-15 pounds. Tody marks day one of me getting back on track.My goals are to get in 30 minutes of exercise, track food or atleast write down what I eat and to log on to spark at least 1 time a day. I know I can and will suceed

Two Major events in the next year

In June of next year I have two big envents comming up, My 30th birtday and I will be the maid of honor in one of my best friends wedding. My goal is to be under 200 pounds. I want to start my thirties in better heatlh and shape. I also want to look good in a dress by the time my friend gets married. I am already down 5 pounds since getting back to exercising and tracking my food. I am determined to stick to tracking my food this time. I usually do pretty good with the exercise but I slack off with tracking my food. I am keep my self accountable. I have goals I want to meet. As for as exercise I am determined to do at least 20 minutes a day and strenght exercises atleast 3 times a week.

    Keep up the great job. Log in your workouts to get an idea of how many minutes you are actually working out. That helps to keep you accountable as well.

    You can do it! Log on everyday and track your food in a blog if you don't feel like using the tracker. Some people even take pictures. It's more about awareness and accountability than calories sometimes.

reflection of 2011

I can't believe 2011 is over, overall I have to admit it has been a good year for me. I did not reach the goals I had set for my self regarding weight loss or fitness minutes but I am ok with that and I am planning on reaching them in 2012. Some of the good things that have happened to me this year was getting a 2nd job that I love and I was able to pay off most of my credit cards and bills. I am also now able to wear a size 22 and some size 20s and I have not been able to do in years. One of my goals for this year has been to go out and try new things and not to let my weight hold me back and for the most part I am proud to say I have been doing that. There are still moments where I am like no I don't want to go out but I am facing my fears head on. I did my first 5k walk, I been on a roller coaster for the first time in years( huge accomplishment) I even been out to the club dancing which before I would never do. just this last week i got the best news of all from my doctor was that blood work that that everything came back normal which was a huge relief because I had not been to the doctor for a physical since 2007.

I know I have not been on spark has much as I would like but I want to thank all of my spark friends and people on spark who have left comments on my blogs and page I apprieciate it and they keep me going. I hope all of you have a happy new year.

Goals for November

Wow I can believe it is almost November already, Time has went by so fast. October was a ok month for me I lost a few pounds and i made it through halloween with out binging on candy so thats progress. I did take my niece and cousins out trick or treating and treated myself to one halloween snack a carmel candy apple with nuts. I even got to scare kids at my job a little in the hunted maze which was fun.

My goals for November is simple,
1. Get at least 800 fitness minutes(been slacking)
2. Walk at least 10,000 steps a day
3. eat 4 freggies a day (been slacking on that)
4. Exercise for 10 minutes daily(even on my off days from the gym)
5. Limit eating out to 2 times a week
6. take 10 minutes each day for me time
7. Blog once a week

Missing in Action

So it has been almost a month since my last blog, thing have been really busy. I started my second job, and have not has much time to get on spark. I am proud to say that even thought I have not been on much in the last month I am down 2 pounds and have been staying with in my calories. I have been so tired from work that I have not been doing zumba workout and been skiping strength training but I have been burning lots of calories at work espcially doing my second job where I am on my feet and moving the whole 3 hours I am there. Between both of my jobs I get as low as 12,000 steps and I have walked as much as 21,000 steps. according to my pedometer I burn between 700-1300 calories. I usually subtrack 100-200 off because at my fist job it is not continoues movement. My goal this week is to get in strenght exercise atleast 3 times this week.

Fantastic that you are using your pedometer and getting plenty of steps in!
A two pound loss is nothing to sneeze at, especially considering your current circumstances. I'm sure it will get better, as you continue getting more comfortable.
