Annapolis/DC Weekend Get-a-Away

I just love these two cities. I didn't get to work out today because there was just no time but I'm still proud for working out Friday and Saturday cause I usually would have never done that. I usually always bring my work out clothes and end up never using them when I go on vacation. So, I made sure this time I did! I noticed while I was walking around and being a little tourist that I had to pull up my pants every 5 seconds because they were falling down. I didn't even have to unzip them to pee... just pull them down. lol. So, Im really trying to lose some more pounds so I can go down to the next size jeans. lol. Well, here are the pics I promised...     I love this area. My boyfriend's family is from annapolis and northern VA right near DC. We are going there next weekend! I'm glad you had a great weekend, the weather was perfect for a trip!

8 Weeks of SP!

Yesterday was 8 weeks for me on SP. I'm still loving it! Weigh in was yesterday too. I gained a pound back which I'm not upset over at all. I really wasn't expecting any weight loss because I was sick and not working out as much as I usually do. Some days I was having horrible chocolate cravings and of course I caved into them all. I have a feeling that TOM is on its way. That's usually what my cravings are from. lol. I am FINALLY over my sickness so now it's time to up my fitness and get back on track with everything!
I am in Annapolis for the weekend!! DC traffic is absolutely horrible. lol. When me and my cousin Michael got to the hotel I actually went to the gym to workout. I did a 20 min run because we were expecting other cousins soon so I wanted to work at least something in. Then after that my cousin wanted to get in the hotel pool so we swam for a little bit. I noticed my bathing suit from this summer is a little looser from when I first wore it. When my other cousin, Monika, and her bf got here we drove into downtown Annapolis and met my cousin, Nate, on the Naval Academy and all did some catching up. Then we ate dinner ate this great place, Bobby's Crabs and Ribs I do believe is what it was called. I ate sooooo much food!! Crab dip, chicken and crab meat kiev... its got chicken, crab meat, pasta w/ white sauce. soooo much yummyness! I was completely stuffed! Then my gf from the Air Force who is stationed near Baltimore met up with us and we went to a bar and had a drink and caught up with each other. Then she took me back to the hotel and I called it a night. This morning I set my alarm for 9 am to go for another quick morning workout and because we didn't want to miss the free breakfast the hotel was having lol. I got my plate of breakfast that I was going to eat after my run, headed back upstairs to change, then off to do my 25 min run. I was so proud of myself that I actually did it! emoticon Tomorrow I hope to go for another run but we are going to church in the morning and were going out tonight so we'll see. lol. I kind of want to wear my hrm for fun today while were in DC to see how many calories I burn just from walking all day in DC. well see what I do :]
30 DS - As of yesterday I met my half way mark for the 30 Day Shred! Only 15 more days to go! emoticon Hopefully these last 15 days give me as great as results as the first 15 did! Gotta get back on track and do it everyday because I noticed that is when my results really happened.

    oooo i HATE DC traffic! we always take the metro in...thankfully one of the stops is within walkin distance of my apt =p good for you for doing your running! i sure wouldnt have haha


and i TOTALLY gave in to choc. cravings this weekend....and TOM IS here =( boooo

    You are doing great! 15 days of shred??? You are my hero! I'm only on day 7 and can already feel the muscle in my legs and arms getting more defined(under the fat)haha. Can't imagine what 15 days would do!?!? I really hope I lose atleast 5lbs while doing shred since it's all I can squeeze into my days right now...

Day 14 of 30 DS

Today was Day 14!!! I got pretty winded during it but I'm still sick emoticon I also notice that usually when I'm do the Shred DVD that I yawn a lot. Does this happen to anyone when they workout? I've heard that when you yawn it's because your brain is not getting enough oxygen. I never really looked more into it so I was wondering if anyone else had every heard of that before. But anyway... this sickness is really taking away my energy. I am ALWAYS so tired. So, I'm wondering if I have mono or strep again... uggghhh... they should just take out my tonsils. lol. But I feel like as long as I do a little bit of working out it'll be good for me. So, I'm not going to be too disappointed if the scale doesn't move or actually goes up this week.
I have been thinking about changing my weigh in day because some Fridays I work so I'll forget to weigh in. I'm always off on Mondays and Wednesdays because of school so I've been thinking about Wednesdays. So, I might just change that this week since I've had a bad week. lol.
Eating wise though I have been doing pretty good. I've been drinking tons of water!!! emoticon I've been couting my calories and not eating so much fattening food. I need to go out and buy some more fruit. It sucks now that the fruits are starting to get out of season. I don't know what I'm going to do!!! I'm not much of a raw veggie girl. Carrots is about as good as it gets. I mean I'll eat other veggies if they're within a dish or something but to eat them plain like I eat fruit... not so good there. lol.
I am so ready for this weekend because I will be going out of town and having a good time in Annapolis, MD emoticon its so pretty there. I love it. I'll have to post pics when I get back. My plan in to actually work out while I'm there because they do have a gym and pool. So, I gotta remember to bring the HRM with! I'm going to try my best to eat good. lol. but everytime I visit all we do is go eat (seafood...yummmmmm) and drink alcohol. lol. We will see.... we will see. Maybe we'll keep busy.
Well I'm off to go to homework. Hope everyone has a great rest of the week!!

7 Weeks DONE!

I have been on SP for seven weeks now. I'm still loving it and love all my SP friends to death! They are all so encouraging and supportive. I don't know what I'd do without my SP friends emoticon
Weigh in was today and i lost 0.8. I'm glad it didn't go up. I'm still really excited about my measurements. It's still pretty shocking to me that I lost that many inches.
I have been slacking on my workouts and eating habits emoticon I had a feeling this would happen as soon as I started school. What I've been trying to do is do cardio one day and 30DS the next. It's been going pretty good. But there's some days where I am just completely exhausted and don't do any. Two more days of 30DS and I'll be at the halfway mark emoticon I actually have been staying under my calorie range BUT all the food I'm eating is high in fat... not good! This always happens when I've reached my 5 lb mark. I'm trying my best to push myself and pysch myself out so I can keep going and lose more pounds and inches!

    Hey there is always room for improvement, but it sounds like you're doing really well. You're losing weight and doing a lot of good things for yourself. Doesn't sound like you're beating yourself up or anything of course, you have a great attitude. You've come so far! Keep it up and just keep making adjustments gradually!

I took my measurements today and I'm absolutely overjoyed with the results!!! I have lost 2" off my waist, 1.5" off my hips, 1.3" off my thighs, 0.5" off my upper arms, and 1" off my blashie! Sometimes I'm iffy about the measurements because I'm not sure if I'm actually measuring at the same spot I did last time. I remeasured every body party like a million times. LoL! I've been noticing that when I put on my jeans they slide right on and have that perfect fit. No little stomach fat hanging out the front and my blashie doesn't stick out over my jeans either. I'll look in the mirror and have an outfit on that used to have all those little parts sticking out when I first wore it and then at the end of the day it would be stretched out enough so everything would be good. But now, I'll be in that same outfit and nothing is sticking out and everything fits just the way it should. It's so exciting :]

On another note: I'm still sick...just a sore throat and mucous that doesn't want to come out. The over the counter meds seem to be working a little better. I really want this sickness to be done and over with! Thanks for all the get well wishes! Tomorrow is weigh in. Hopefully the result is as good as the measurements. Hope everyone has a great rest of the week :]

    Your measurement results are excellent! How exciting, big congrats. You're doing fantastic. It's so nice when clothes fit that were tight before. It's the ultimate sign of progress. I always worry I'm not measuring myself the right place either but I figure it'll work out overtime somehow haha.
