How do you plan your workouts?

So, I've noticed that lately when I do my workouts I wait until the end of the day to do them all. THIS IS BAD!!!! I have come to realize that I need to spread them out because by the end of the day I don't want to do them all and I'm not doing them with full force like I should be. I have so much free time during the days that I don't work so there should be no excuse why I can't do some kind or workout every few hours. As of right now I'm doing Couch to 5k. I restarted at Week 3 instead of 4. I'm also doing The 28 Day Bootcamp Challenge. And today I started Jillian Michaels 6 Week 6 Pack and OMG!!! I'm pretty sure I'll be hurting in the morning!!
And then eating...I know what I'm supposed to do but I have yet to take charge in it... grrrrrrrrr!!!!

    No matter how much I hate getting up earlier in the morning, working out the begining of the day is so much easier. I am just like you, I never feel like doing anything at the end of the day! I usually will do strength training at the gym after work though...I can never get up early enough to go to the gym...just to roll out of bed and use my eliptical at home. haha

    I try to do my workouts first thing in the morning because I know that when I get home from work I'm not going to want to to it. The only exception to this are the two Zumba classes I take during the week. Those are after work, but I look forward to them so much that it's not a chore to go. The best thing you can do is find what works for you and stick to it. Everything will come with time.

It's already July!!!! I have 8 weeks until school starts back up and then the extra free time will be GONE!! The scale still hasn't been moving for me BUT I am definitely a better runner than I was when I first started C25k and I'm not buldging out of my summer clothes. So more positives than negatives! I've been sick since the last week of June so I haven't been working out hardcore. I was at least going on walks with my daughter and the puppy.

So here's the plan for July:

emoticon Restart at Wk4 of C25k since the sickness interefered - ASH WILL DO THIS!!

emoticon Restart the 28 Day Bootcamp Challenge. Idk why I stopped after a week?? Also, make up an at home strength training program. If anyone has any they'd like to share please let me know!! - ASH WILL DO THIS!!


emoticon Measure & weigh all foods! This is my biggest STRUGGLE!! I'm pretty sure if I got this under control I'd actually see the scale move. - ASH WILL DO THIS!!


emoticon Try and not get discouraged if the scale isn't moving. I would love for the scale to go down but I'd really like to be more tone than anything. I'd rather be 160 lbs and tone than 145 lbs and flabby. Of course it'd be great to be 145 lbs AND tone lol - ASH WILL DO THIS!!

    You will do this!!! I get a lot of my workout routines from women's health... if you go to their website they have a whole library of em under the "workouts" section. I recommend checking it out... they've got beginner workouts and super advanced and everything inbetween! The exercise routines all explain WHY you do the exercises and how many sets/reps and a description and picture of each exercise. Some of them have video demonstrations too!

C25k Week 2/Bootcamp Challenge

emoticon I finished week 2 of C25k. It wasn't so bad. I'm actually looking forward to week 3 this week cause it mixes up the intervals a little bit. I still have shin splints when I run :P Any suggestions to get rid of them?! Now that I think about it I should probably get some new running shoes... that might help since mine are 2 years old lol
emoticon Also, this week I plan to start the 28 Day Bootcamp Challenge. I was trying to look for at home strength training exercises to do and it took me to the Challenge so I said, "Oh, what the heck. Try it out cause you gotta get that scale to move." lol Hopefully it works out for me :] My boyfriend and I have actually been talking about getting the PS3 Move so I can get Zumba and other workout videos. I've heard so much about the Xbox Kinect but not about the Move. Anybody have the Move and comments??

    Definitely sounds like new shoes are in order!! If they are that old it is high time haha. That can be great motivation too ;) The c25k can be tough but once you get through it, it's so rewarding!!

    I just got fitted for new running shoes and I highly recommend going to a store like Running Room or Second Sole that will watch how you walk and recommend shoes for what you need. If you have Netflix, you can look up Zumba and other workout DVDs and some you can watch on demand! Great job on C25K!

    Awesome! Yeah getting new shoes will help a lot...make sure they are super supportive. Also, you might want to try to stretch longer after you work out. I've heard some awesome things about Xbox Kinect and I love Zumba for the Wii so I'm sure it's just as good if not better. Let me know how it is if you get it!

MOTIVATION!!!!

-something that motivates; inducement; incentive.

I have so many events coming up within the next year that should be motivating me to get this weight off!! So I figured I should write it all out to keep reminding myself why I want to lose this weight and get tone...

Weddings



I have a total of 3 weddings to go to this summer. The first one being in two weeks!! I went dress shopping the other day and I totally got bummed out because every single dress I liked wasn't in my size. I ended up ordering a dress online from Target BUT I have no idea what itll look like on me so we will see. This motivates me!!!!

Family Pictures



My cousins and their girls are coming to visit the beginning of August. We've been trying to get pictures taken of all us for FOREVER! The reason it is such a big deal is because they are from my moms side of the family and our families are the only ones in the states, the others are in Korea. I'd like to take these pictures and not have to hide behind the kids to cover up my fatness! This motivates me!!!!

25th BIRTHDAY!!



My 25th Birthday is in Feb 2012. I would so love to be at my goal weight, be tone, and keep maintaining. This motivates me!!!!

Graduating from Nursing School



I'm expected to graduate from Nursing school around the end of April/ beginning of May 2012. I want to look good when pictures are being taken! I don't want to look at my pictures and be like "OMG! I look awful!" I want to actually look at a picture and feel good about how I look! This motivates me!!!!

St. John's, Virgin Islands



June 2012 my best friend is getting married there. I want to look AMAZING!! Now, I know I won't be rocking a two piece but I would like to look HOTT in my bathing suit and not cover up with my towel. This motivates me!!!!

It's only 15 pounds so there should be no excuse! I CAN DO IT!!!!

C25k - Wk 1/Day 2

emoticon Today was the most perfect day to go for a run! I wish it was like this everyday...if only lol. I'm not a beginner at running but I could tell a difference today when I was running. For week one, you alternate from jogging for 60 sec and walking for 90 sec for a total of 20 minutes. Today, I noticed I would go over a little on my jogging for a minute and I didn't get out of breathe. The only bad thing is my dang shin splints! They need to go away lol. It would be awesome to be able to run a 5k in under 30 mins. I've actually been thinking about signing up for the Air Force 5k. I need to look up more details. I can't wait to see the end results!

Now, I leave you with a picture. This is my puppy, Scruffy. He went with me today and right as we got into the house he went straight to his water bowl and was drinking his water while laying down lol

    Great job on staring the running again. You can totally reach your under 30 min 5k goal if you stick to it! I did.... ONCE. 29:30. haha. and then never again somehow. Someday, perhaps...
