I can not believe it is already July! Where did the time go?

emoticon My trip to Cali was AMAZING! The sun was always shining and the weather was absolutely perfect! I actually did a lot of working out while I was out there. One day I went on a 7 mile hike in Muir Woods. That was intense! We did a lot of walking around when we went to San Fran, Sacremento, and Monterey. Then there were days where we had unit pt so we all had to work out for a hour. I thought it would be difficult to work out for a full hour because I usually only go for 30 mins but I did pretty well. I usually did 30 mins on the ellipitcal and then 30 mins on the treadmill. So overall I kept up with my exercising. But then there was the food.... yeaaaaa... didnt do so hot in that area. I couldn't really make food since we were in a hotel so there was a lot of eating out. I tried getting healthy stuff but I didn't. I had a great time but I was very happy when I got back home :]

emoticon I weighed myself the other day and I am back up to 156 :[ It's so depressing but I did it to myself. There is no excuse to the excuses I keep making but I keep making excuses. I'm thinking of starting 30 DS back up. I lost inches when I did it the first time so I want to see if it'll work again. I'm hoping to start going back to Zumba classes with Tasha because I really did enojy Zumba and I burned a lot of calories while having fun. So, I'm slowly trying to get my way back up there. I'm still trying to put my apartment together but that should not be an excuse because I should be able to fit in 30 mins somewhere! THE EXCUSES NEED TO GO!

emoticon I really suck at making goals because I don't know if the time frames are reachable or to hard so I'm going to try and make some for July.

1. Drink 8 glasses of water a day - this use to never be a problem for me but I have been slacking

2. Eat out only 1-2 times a week - this will be hard!

3. Do 30 DS every day or every other day.

4. Do at least 30 min exercising 3-4 days a week.

5. Snack on fruits and veggies!

That looks good for now. I need to write this down on a piece of paper and post them everywhere in my apartment lol

    Great goals Ashley. I know you're back up but if you stick to your plan it will come off in no time. Awesome for all the exercise you got on your vacation. Not a lot of people can say that. Good luck on July and keep us updated!

    You got this! Just keep going to lots of Zumba since you enjoy it. You'll get into a routine and you'll be doing something you enjoy so it will be really easy to stick with. You just gotta keep going. Make a plan for your workouts so you can fit it into your day!

A lot has happened and its making me crazy busy! Lol! I went to PA for Memorial Day weekend to visit family and see my friend since 7th grade get married :] I will admit that I didn't eat too great but I did actually get to workout... the fun way lol. I played two games of wiffle ball with my cousins and man hunt. I was very very sore for two days.
I signed the lease for my *FIRST* apartment today!! YAYYYYYYY!!!! I want to try and box all my stuff up and move everything into the apartment by next thursday or friday. Then it will stay there for two weeks...
It will stay there for two weeks cause I'll be in Cali for my military tour. I will definitely be working out, out there becasue they will make us. lol. So, I just have to eat good. I think we're trying to take a trip out to Yosemite on one of our days off too. Gotta remember to bring the hrm although I think it may be broken :/
So, I will be MIA because I gotta get all this stuff done in 9 days! eeekkkkkk! I wish I could get to this page from my cell phone...takes too long to load :P
But I will miss you sparkies and hopefully not too long after I come back things will be settled and I'll be back. keep up the great work yall are doing!!!!

Military Fitness Test

I passed my military fitness test on Saturday!!!

My results:

Waist measurement: 32 in. :]
1 1/2 mile run: 14:33 - my goal was to keep it under 15 mins :]
42 push ups in one minute - that's the max
51 sit ups in one minute - that'ts the max

So, I passed, I passed, I passed!!! Lol. Come July though we will have new fitness standards and its a little more tough. Plus, instead of just testing once a year, we will be testing twice a year so now I really can't slack off with the exercising.
I was looking back at my old fitness scores and I saw that one of my run times was 12:52! Now this was when I had to workout. There was no other option lol. But it seems so unreal that I actually have had a run time like that. So. I'm hoping that one day I will be able to run under 13 again!

    Congrats! Yea my base is getting hardcore about it too. Our next test is Sept under the new standards, and we're going to have 'non-Airmen' counting our pushups and situps so there's no 'Airman counting' going on...they're really worried about people failing this one! Especially with not being able to make up in one area with another. I checked my scores on the new standards, if I stay where I'm at (score-wise) my score actually goes up! But starting July I'm going to be be busting my @$$ just training for those three exercises! Good luck!!

    Great job Ashley! I was wondering how the test went. It sounds like you did an awesome job! Even though the thought of a fitness test makes me feel anxious that's a really good motivator, especially now that you have to do 2 a year. Congratulations!!!

    You could look at it as a good thing that you have a couple fitness tests now to hold you accountable. You can make goals for your 1.5 mile time and challenge yourself with more pushups and situps! Great job!
