So much for staying on track or the holiday weekend...blah! I am ready to give it another try though! How does that saying go...Fall down three times get back up four! Well I am getting back up and ready to do something good for me and my family. Going to the gym today and going to try for 10 miles on the bike today...add to my virtual trip to my hubby at work! Will post more later!

Thanksgiving is this week. Today I am thankful for my family. I have kids who, when they want to, are wonderful helpers to me! I have a husband who is living in a truck to support our family! I have a mom who will drop everything to help me find me time when I feel like I am about to break! And I have an uncle who has been babysitting for free when I need a night out of the house!
I love the fact that I have that support and a family that is willing to give the support! There could be no greater gift for a person than that!
Now with this in mind...the best way to repay everyone?
TAKE CARE OF ME!!!
Its Monday and I plan to make some SHORT-TERM goals:
~Write in here at least once a week
~Exercise everyday...either The Firm, treadclimber, or something at the gym
~With that exercise, log in at least 10 miles towards my virtual walk to the hubby's work
~Drink my water everyday! (heck I feel better when I do!)
~Be thankful for what I have and express it outloud!
I am slowly getting the hang of things...finding the right workout for my lifestyle, getting the water and logging on here. I went through an awesome streak of logging on and tracking my water but than it disappeared. I was still drinking my water, just not tracking it. I am ready to get back to it, because I don't want to gain anything this holiday season. Which brings me to:
My LONG-TERM goal:
~I don't want to GAIN any weight this holiday season.
I consider the holiday season to begin on Thursday (11/24) and end on the day after new years (1/2). I figure I can make weekly short term goals to help me reach my one and only long term goal...for now. After I accomplish that, I will come up with another long term goal.
So, if I am going to do that...I better get off my butt and do a workout while the kids are still sleeping!!!

I just bought a Firm DVD last week...LOVE IT!! I don't have all the time in the world some days, and to be told I can get a good workout in 20 minutes...I had to try it! And guess what...I sweat just as much doing this 20 minutes as I would doing 40 of Jillian! Plus the DVD I bought came with a free 10 minute download for the days when 20 is too much...or in my case so far...when I want just a little more later in the day. After doing the DVD twice and the bonus twice, I have decided I want The Firm Express system for Christmas...and maybe to cancel the gym...Its so nice to be able to do something "sweaty" so quick...now to see if the claims are true that I can lose that weight with just 3 20 minute sessions a week...although mine are more like 3 20 minutes and 3+ 10 minute ones...hey, who's complaining about another 10 minutes? NOT ME!!!

I plan on doing a virtual walk...
I want to walk from our house in Pine City Minnesota, to where my husband is working in Stanley North Dakota, and I am taking a long route...646.4 miles.
I plan on stopping by:
Pine City to St. Cloud MN, 118.7 mi
St. Cloud to Fargo, 170 mi
Fargo to Bismark, 190 mi
Bismark to Minot, 116 mi
Minot to Stanley, 51.7 mi
I used Google maps and drew a line following the roads, so I am hoping this is accurate for mileage...
I tried something like this before...walking with the hobbits from Lord of the Rings...but didn't keep up with blogging about it and lost track...well here I go again, and this time it has more meaning..I want to get to my hubby!!!
So today I did a quick mile so far...that leaves me with 645.6 miles to go!
