Rainy days...

Thursday, June 14, 2012

Today is a rainy day...I don't like it. But there is nothing I can do about it. I am babysitting two extra kids today and would love to be outside with them, but we are stuck in the house. The nice thing is, they would rather be playing than watching tv. I will take it and go with it...that means I have time to do things too!

My plans for today include to drink my water...I haven't been doing that as well as I should. If I want to lose the weight, I need to fill my munching need with the water my body wants. I know this, now I just need to do it. I also need to get my workout in. My hubby came home and I didn't do the last two days...not good of me. I am following the bodyrock challenge, and since they give two days rest, I will go back and know that I already took those days off. I need to do ZWOW #6 today. It is 10 minutes worth of everything I have...since I was able to do 40 minutes the other day, 10 should be no problem!

Now that I have that written down, I better go and get is time to make changes and make me healthier!!!

Make it a good day everyone!!

I love that last statement "Make it a good day". Because it's so true! The attitude that we CHOOSE to take on in approaching our day makes such a huge difference!

Your positivity and determination totally inspires me =D And with 2 extra kiddos today and you're STILL Gonna get those 10 minutes in! You're a warrior!!! =D

And TRUST ME when I say I can sympathize with the rain thing! I live in seattle so it rains here.. ohhh... roughly 9 months out of the year? =D Luckily though a lot of those rainy days are mostly a constant sprinkle, but that's still enough to soak ya if you're out in it for a couple of hours! hehe!

Have a great day!!! Keep up the awesome work! =D

I must be doing something right....

Saturday, June 09, 2012

So, I haven't been on "here" lately...I found support on FB too...which is easier to access from my cell phone. It really helps to have support where ever I turn! I started doing ZWOWs and some of the BodyRock workouts this past week...I am sore all over!!! I really don't like tracking my food...but I am making a conscious effort to look at the calories in each meal and know how much I want to have for each meal... It's not weigh in day today...but I got on the scale this morning and noticed the numbers are going down!!! That is so awesome!! I promised my 3 year old that I would take him to the park if he went to bed last night...his deal with me, not mine with him! Since today is supposed to be hot and humid, we are getting ready to go now...I will be on the computer more when we can't be outside!! Just wanted to update this a little.

Need to stay on track!!

Thursday, May 24, 2012

So here I am, back again! My husband quit his job out of state...problems with the company owner and missing the kids...He is now applying at all the jobs in the state...Me however, I have been lacking in what I should be doing. I hear of everyone else doing wonderful things before swimsuit season, and here I sit...literally. I need to remind myself everyday to do something for me now that I have the chance! I really don't have an excuse anymore. Today I am tracking my food again, and going to stick with it, even it means I am going over my daily allowance, I am going to track it! I am going to also get back into my water and off this silly pop my hubby likes! My weigh in today is awful! 161.4...that is 4 pounds gained!! Not cool...but with my small changes I am sure to get back to 157 in a week? I hope so!!

Well, wish me luck because it is back to taking care of me, myself and I!!

Fun "Mud" Run

Monday, April 30, 2012

Yesterday my town held a Fun Run in support of my cousin. 1.5 miles of overcoming obstacles. I brought the kids with me and met up with the rest of my family there. What obstacles did we face? Well...first off I did the course with my 3 year old ;-) Actually, we ran the length of the football field (my cousin is on the football team), than we crawled under the ropes (don't know where that came from), we did a nice hike through the woods (he's an outdoorsy guy), next came the 3 year old's favorite, we went through a mud pit (my cousin is always in the mud on the four-wheeler), a nice jog over to the next station and we went through the tires (football drill), and finally a long and slow (poor kid of mine) back to the football field and a slap on the goal post ended the journey. What a wonderful way to help raise money for my cousin's family and bring the community together! Nothing had to be bought for the event, the community donated time, supplies (water, tires, MUD), and transportation of the supplies to and from the event! I love living in a small town at times like this!

Not too "Unfit"

Monday, April 23, 2012

I went to the gym yesterday, a first in many months. I figure I am paying for it...I better get my butt in there! I went in with a goal...2 miles in 30 minutes on the treadmill...I walked out with 2.1 miles!!! I am so happy...I never would have been able to do that before, I haven't done "much" at all...I have to laugh at that...I have been keeping up with the kids, and constantly on my feet with them. I have been doing some workouts via DVDs, and I have been walking (slowly with the 3 year old) up and down the road...but I didn't realize how much that all played into me being able to achieve my goal and even surpass it, even if it was just by 0.1 miles...

My husband came home yesterday...unexpected truck problems and he will have to leave early this week to get back to work, but it is nice to have him here. And I got to see my cousin this weekend too...he was diagnosed with AML Leukemia right after he turned 18 and has been in the hospital for over a month. With little ones under the age of 5, I have not been able to go to see him since it is still flu season.

Well, today's goals include getting my water into me, exercise of some form or shape and spending time with the family. Simple easy to do and I will add onto that tomorrow. Have a good Monday!

Hope you have a great start to your week! Keep it up girl! =]
