Still sitting here waiting for my knee to heal. I do get up and wander around a bit, and do some stretching.
This sure makes my "thankful streak" easier.You realize how much you had before the injury.
We sure take things for granted.
Thank you Thank you Thank you for my healthy body.

    Good day .. and Happy Sunday .. I know how it goes when you are going a mile a minute and no time for yourself you think of all kinds of things you want to do if you could just BE for a while .. then when we get an unwelcomed rest we are lost .. now what ??
so here are some ideas for you
-manicure fingers and toes
-dry brush your skin before showering helps to maintain a healthy immune system
-whiten your teeth
-write those letters you have never had time to do
-organize pictures , recipes, cards etc
-clean out your purse
-sun tan !! lots of sun tanning
-meditate .. mindful meditation is amazing
-lots of music
-paint or color .. yes just like a kid .. have some fun with colors even chalk
but most of all .. you have the right attitude .. thankful that it is just a knee that needs to mend .. thankful to be healing and on your way to restored health very very soon ..
take good care .. hope you knee is better than new real soon ..

I have injured my knee and can't exercise.All I am doing is whining about it and that won't help anything.

    being thankful really is the gas on the fire to produce a good, healthy , productive life .
When we are grateful and appreciate what we have .. we are given more .. and more and more .. of everything that is good and just ..
That is a great plan for a streak ..
I did the Fast Metabolism Diet by Haylie Pomroy for 2 x 28day cycles .. the book is amazing .. she has the ability to coach as if she is across the table from you .. plus the book explains what each phase of eating (1-2-3) does for your body and how it resets your metabolism .. sure worth the read ..
Good luck with your 30 days of thank you and dedication to you .. sorry your knee is on the bench .. perhaps you needed to slow down and reflect on the things that make your heart sing ..
Happy Wednesday .. if you are still in Florida stay put for a while I hear your weather isn't the best in Ontario but the Maritimes are really getting hit again .. :(

Disappointed

I am so disappointed. This is week 2 of my walk/jog program.I feel like I have put my knee out.
Will have to rest up until it gets better. Not sure, but it may have been my golf swing that caused it.

This is week 2 of 5km walk/run challenge. I walk a lot now so am finding it very easy. Playing by the rules and gradually working up as suggested.
Bought a new pair of Merrill barefoot running shoes. My other pair were worn right through the insoles.

Yesterday I bought a stopwatch. The 5m walk/jog program will be be easier to do.
I am so pumped about this program, that I can hardly wait to start week 2 tomorrow.
Today I will walk the 2 bridges. Perfect day for this. emoticon
