I did great up until lunch today. I got up and made a great smoothie. I weighed myself, so I am now at 294.

Then I bought the plane ticket for my 15 year old to go live with his grandparents. For my next step, I ordered pizza.

I'm not going to kick myself for it. I needed something, so I decided to go ahead and do it. I will jump back on the wagon for dinner.

    It's great to hear that you aren't waiting til next week or next month to jump back on th bandwagon. We all trip & fall every now & then the trick is getting back up... dusting yourself off and keep moving foward.

Day 2 Juicing... and other issues

Got up this morning, but did not want to wake up. My muscle relaxer really did its job last night.

I had to go to the office, so I gathered up my breakfast and lunch and headed out the door. I took apples and carrots since I would not be able to juice yet.

On my way in, I had to try something to wake up so I stopped at Chick Fil A to get a small coffee. I then impulsively ordered a spicy chicken biscuit. I am ok with making the impulse decision because it means I will need to avoid getting coffee someplace other than a coffee shop.

So, I ate my biscuit at work. I ate my breakfast for snack and had the kale and avocado salad for lunch. Was completely full the entire work day.

I came home and cooked dinner for the kids (Macaroni and cheese, tuna fish and peas) and then made my Day 2 Reboot dinner. The Reboot Detox soup is extremely yummy. The Acorn Squash stuffed with Sage Portabella and Mushroom was also delightful.

I decided to make my soup that I have to eat several times this week, so I have soup ready to go. I am also making homemade vegetable broth to make more Detox soup. My husband stole my bowl!

If my husband keeps eating on this diet with me, I need to account for that in my grocery shopping. I have to go buy more acorn squash or I won't have any dinner tomorrow.

I am not hungry in any way and the food so far has been wonderful. I can only hope the juices will be just as good when I start juicing only at the end of the week.

One side effect, I seem to be sweating like mad. I assume this is my body working toxins out on top of standing in from of the oven cooking all evening.

Bless you! My kids are also always stealing my diet food and emptying my water bottle. At least it is healthy. Lead by example, etc

Sunday 6-23 Day 1 Reboot

I started today without a juicer as my friend did not give me the cleaning tool. It has now been ordered and I should receive it in a week.

Not feeling hunger pains at all despite the limited foods. I followed all the recipes from the Day One of the reboot, with the exception of making a smoothie instead of juice. I added a protein isolate to the smoothie and water. This made sure I got enough protein throughout the day to keep my blood sugar even.

I could not eat all of my dinner. It was HUGE! Gave my husband what was left of my collard greens. They were too bitter for my taste. Next time I will add more olive oil and garlic as I did not add enough for the amount of greens I was cooking.

MAJOR caffeine headache. Husband brought me a Carmel Frappucino, which I took one sip of and told him to drink the rest. I am using my migraine medication to get rid of the headache. I am sure tomorrow will be MUCH better. Looking forward to seeing how much better I will feel eating much healthier. I never knew a Kale and Avocado salad could be so good!!

My husband may inadvertently try to sabotage my diet. He is trying to be nice brinbging me coffee and he wants to show off his cooking skills by trying to get me to taste the steaks he was cooking. I'll have to be VERY careful.. He is an awesome cook!

This morning

I woke up this morning with my hands and feet swollen. I am going to assume it was the salt from the french fries and quarter pounder. I was hungry before leaving for the grocery store and the kids said they were starving to death, so I ran through the drive thru. The intention was to buy them something, but then I thought the smell would make the hunger worse and I wouldn't be able to stick to the grocery list.

Bought all the groceries I needed to make it through this week with smoothies and to start the reboot next week. My intestinal pain has subsided. No reaction to the Freedom Salad I ate last night, which consisted of meat, greens, peppers, onions and ancho dressing. I did eat some tortilla chips and guacamole.

Took my meds before bed, which also could have contributed to the swelling.

Woke with a small caffeine headache, but not too bad. I haven't had coffee or soda in 4 days. Took my butalbital which contains a bit of caffeine and it did the trick.

Take 15 million..

One of these days, my healthy eating patterns will stick. Maybe when I am not feeding a family of 6 with two teenagers and a husband who is a foodie.

I started yesterday to make a smoothie for breakfast. Then I left the house and ended up starving by the time I was on my way back. I behaved at Starbucks getting my unsweetened Passion Tea while ordering my husband's Frappucino. But then, I drove through the Popeye's drivethru to get the kids some food and ended up buying tenders for my husband and I. I did eat a bit of mashed potatoes, six tenders and a biscuit with honey. So at dinner, I was trying my hardest to think of someplace with salads to take everyone after M's soccer practice. We ended up at the local wing bar, but I controlled myself, having a garden salad with grilled chicken. I had them bring me the ranch dressing and sauce I love but on the side. Altogether, I still stayed under my calories, but I did not eat as much protein as I would have liked.

Starting around 11pm, my stomach had a fit. Apparently the veggies I ate are not digesting properly. This is one of the problems when you have preservative intolerances. Veggies do not digest as they are supposed to because your GI system is injured. So, I will continue to drink my veggies as part of my diet and see if it helps heal the system.

I am combining the Blood Diet eating method and the Reboot diet starting next week. I am trying to prepare myself for drinking more while helping to heal my system.
