12/20/12 - 4 miles in an hour - woo hoo

Not sure what made me aim for this goal this morning, but so darn impressed with myself. I am NOT a runner, but I actually jogged for 20 minutes this morning, and it felt great. emoticon Who knew? Maybe I'll train for a 5k....

12-19-12 Feeling a little under the weather

Why is it when you find a nice workout stride, something tries to derail you. Oh well, I won't come to a complete stop, but I'll lower my intensity.

I WILL achieve my 10,000 steps per day. emoticon

I think I am on a roll now. I've added my strength training regularly to my cardio workouts, and it feels darn good.

Legs are a little tight after the 50 weighted squats, but it will be a delicious reminder that my body is working. emoticon

Only 8 short days before Christimas, and I am so excited about the consistent exercise and eating habits I am putting in place. For sure, planning the night before for the gym and daily food needs really do go a mighty long way.

Hubby gave me a mime that my hips are worth all of the sweat. If he notices, then I really am making progress. emoticon


12/13/12 - Early Morning Exercise

I'm back to early morning exercise, and it was no easy feat. Overly joyed to know that I am making my health a priority before the sun even rises. It surely is/was one of the hardest routines to regain, but I am so loving it.

    I LOVE to work out at the crack of dawn when I can catch the sunrise during my walks. I find if I don't work out early in the morning, I'm much more likely to let one excuse after another stop me during the day. I like the peace and quiet of the park at 6 am. I've tried walking at 7 pm, but the park is just too busy. I like doing "walking meditation" and I can best do that in the still of the night and early dawn! It's great you know what works for you and that you're working for it. Good for you! emoticon
