No Appetite Today

Well, this hasn't happened in quite some time! I just wasn't at all hungry today. No matter what the reason, I'll take it. LOL I ate at regular intervals any way just because I worked out and was very active. I know I needed the fuel.

    Glad to hear you are smart enough to eat anyway, since your body does need the fuel for a workout. Don't want your body to go into starvation mode & hold on to the weight you are trying to lose. Have a good day & a better tomorrow. emoticon

Fighting Thyroid Fatigue

For the last week or so, I've been fighting major fatigue. Monday, I had some blood work done to see if there was a thyroid issue again. I'm so tired that I could lay down on the sidewalk and not move but I wouldn't be able to go to sleep. My arms and legs feel like lead weights and my eyes burn. Allergy may also be affecting me with fatigue so I've been treating myself (per doctor's orders) for my allergies. The allergy medication doesn't make me sleepy. I'm thinking that I'm either fighting getting sick or my thyroid medication needs to be adjusted. I've still pushed myself to work out some every day even though I feel exhausted, however when I come home, instead of hitting the computer, I throw together something for dinner and then lay down. I hope my doctor calls me today to let me know what all the blood tests say. (They took 5-6 vials of blood!)

Making Time Out Of The Water Productive

I decided to take a day off from swimming today due to skin that was so dry that it chapped. Instead, I did lots of walking and I caught up on some chores that I've been putting off. I never realised just how liberating catching up can be! I got laundry done, errands run and made necessary phone calls. Now I don't have any of those old chores hanging over my head. I was even able to find a new cream to put on my dry skin. Tomorrow I'm going back into the water and I'll use my new cream after my post workout shower. Hopefully it will help resolve the problem.

Good walking pace today

Today I walked 1.2 miles in 24 minutes. I never broke my pace and was really pumping those arms as I walked. The area where I walked had several easy hills and I still managed to hold my pace. I did a 6 minute cool down after my walk, along with lots of stretches. It was a good workout for my day off. It was brisk but not overly strenuous yet I still felt like I had a workout.

Subs in Exercise Classes Change It Up

For the past week, due to spring break, we had subs in all but two of my water classes. I really enjoy it when we have subs because they tend to shake things up a little. The workouts were vigorous with loads of cardiovascular components. I'm to the point of needing to include some more vigorous moves in my workouts or I don't feel like I've had a good workout. Who would have thought a year ago that I'd be at this level now? I'm proud of myself for making such great progress!
