Hey spark

I'm so glad I take pics and record everything

Everything from distance, pace, measurement weight, pics and non scale victories

Only thing I don't have is my body fat for may, still looking for it... Will be interesting to see. I know I wrote it in a blog...only I blog daily lol!

So today body automatically wanted to run 9 min mile!

I burnt out... But glad I have my garmin bc


Repeat.....not because I can't run a 5k!!!

These are the kind of tricks ur brain plays!

Also I can't compare my shrink pics

But today the small size 4 could not zip or button!
It did last week!!!

I think, my other 2 pair are fitting better...

My abs are weird. They shrink top down and waist shrink in!
So leaving a huge pouch in the middle as I lose weight or inches...

Very discouraging if I didn't actually sit an analyze what my body is doing!!

It is of my thighs as inwas driving.

I was wearing these shorts I reserve for only INDOOR use
Bc the were tight and gave me a wedggy! And thigh burns

I was swimming in them today! It was like a skirt! I remember filling it all out!

No don't have bef pic, just the after so u have to take my word for it lol.

So......yeah moral of story


Your journey will be easier to live with

No watch me shrink til wknd too...will take pics tomorrow though

Hubby took computer...and iPad can't add pic or edit!


emoticon I started off running today.......

At mile .5 hit a wall! Off long run on tuesday...still emoticon sick!

emoticon no problem, interval it! Run walk emoticon

Ok....then I saw the hill!


I m not in the mood to run emoticon

So why not make this 15 mins worth it emoticon

So I emoticon up the hill!!!!
And I emoticon down the hill!!! Well it felt like that

I was like a emoticon!

At least for 15 min or .5 mile.....6x up and down

Then.....I emoticon back to my car!!!!

Logged in my min and mileage on SP
270 cals burnt

Looked at HRM 400 hahaha!
See what u can do burn extra 150 cal just by emoticon a little harder ;)

When I got home..... emoticon napped

I didnt get that tired doing my 9 miles

    I felt the same way yesterday didnt wanna run so decided to go for a walk and then did walk run walk run :) ended up busting more calories than my regular run cause I went farther :) . Keep up the good work ,you motivate me !

hi spark

been reading ur blogs, had an aha moment!

I Don't want to claim I know YOUR problem, but it made me realize my own!

so I will share mine and u can take away or add ur struggles. so other sparkers can identify when they read the comment!

well, to FIX we need to IDENTIFY. the FLAWS!



yup, looking back...I would wait til I was alone, at home or in car!
or even worst wait til everyone is SLEEPING!

And pull out my stash!
I say STASH BC I literally hid it!


well, I "KNEW" I had the issue
but it took my hubby in my 2 months away from SP.



not saying it works
but my low sodium has curbed it!
I don't want it!

I don't want to feel sick!

and running makes me TIRED so I Sleep not look for food at night!

lol simple no?



I was a sucker for pics of food! I order from pictures on menu! I MAY NOT WANT IT, but it looks so good!

SOLUTION : daily torture from sis FB Foodie posts. I mean a whole year!
YUP...can look at food pic and be EH!

this is Not a flaw, but understanding this helps.

so...focused on exercising last yr! no brainer now
today ... with fitness like getting dress focus on EATING!

ITS A LONGER JOURNEY, But its lifestyle change!

and I like to focus on ONE Thing!
doing p90x and running drove me bonkers BC I can't commit to both at same time!

but if I think of it as cross training its easier.


Now for some flaw I see in others and my feeble attempt to suggest solution.

1. Great starters, bad follow thorougher!

this is a SPARKER that is great at sparking the fire and initiating. she gets all excited about the NEW and come week 2 she struggles!

solution? maybe try new weekly challenge! or do 1 wk of a program and switch to another on week 2!

ex. p90x
is the variety in the program enough to keep u interested?


is it just the idea of doing p90x is boring?


this is a SPARKER that psych herself out before she starts!

Solution? TRY it! give it 1 min! if u hate it move on!


that's me! This SPARKER could probably do great things but so scare of changing what she knows!

SOLUTION? EDUCATE yourself! then it wont be new! that is how I ran, eat right p90x. reading all ur blogs! gathering data, recording my own data!


me too! dress my kids, fed my kids, make gourmet for hubby, me a slob and eat crap?

SOLUTION? make time, u r important too! and it can become addictive, beware of me! me! me!

    great blog...my flaw? stress and emotional eating...I know what I need to change but haven't been doing it consistently...so perhaps that's my other flaw...lack of consistency :)

    Not being aware of the numbers. I just recalculated food this week and SODIUM is way over the amount I imagined.

Friday night Buffalo Wild Wings and beer night.

I can't do it EVERY Friday.

We're getting our acts together! :)

    You got me pegged! Life seemed so simple when I had smaller children at home that I catered to, kept busy naturally, maintained a healthy garden that I worked in regularly and ate from consistently, took them to their practices and athletic events, got up and walked 2 mi daily before beginning the catering process and living life fully for my family and kids, while weight was NEVER an issue. Now that they are all adults and all birds have left the nest, I simply can't find myself doing it all for me. The metabolism has slowed and I can't seem to find worth in doing it just for me. I begin with a bang, feel the sensation of accomplishment, and then when I feel real good, I encounter an event, such as beginning to date again, and all the good vibes start tumbling,....one by one and I don't get a solid grip. I simply allow it to roll along beside me and drink up another Dr. Pepper or two to make me feel good. What a break! It's insane! It's work in progress and I wonder when I'll stop the rollcoaster ride and get off and pursue the fab me that really exists. Makes me wonder if I'm in this battle alone.

1. Lazy. Procrastination.
2. Peer pressure gets to me too easy (for drinks, etc)

    This is a great blog! Self-awareness is definitely the key to success. You can only change if you know what needs fixing, right?? Right!

I think my issue is that I can commit to something whole-heartedly and I stick with it for awhile, but when I start seeing good results, I get complacent and start slacking. Then it's hard to get back on track until I really hit rock bottom and get motivated to commit whole-heartedly again! That's probably why I've basically maintained this year... I've lost and re-gained the same 5 pounds about 3 times!

Anyway, great post. Lots to think about! emoticon

9 miles today in 1:51
7 miles nonstop, 2 interval ;p


PB sandwich BEF

20 oz gatorade during

2 bottle of H2O after

PB sandwich AFter, 2 cups of grapes (in car)

Protien wrap (whole wheat warp with 1 egg + 1 egg white + jumbo Shrimp ;p)

so far so good........

next few hours in the car....going to put more grapes and another PB sandwich!

1130 cals toasted today!!!!! sp says 700 lol
