been reading ur blogs, had an aha moment!
I Don't want to claim I know YOUR problem, but it made me realize my own!
so I will share mine and u can take away or add ur struggles. so other sparkers can identify when they read the comment!
well, to FIX we need to IDENTIFY. the FLAWS!
I was a CLOSET EATER!
yup, looking back...I would wait til I was alone, at home or in car!
or even worst wait til everyone is SLEEPING!
And pull out my stash!
I say STASH BC I literally hid it!
IDENTIFY The BEHAVIOR
well, I "KNEW" I had the issue
but it took my hubby in my 2 months away from SP.
I got sloppy, he said WHY BOTHER WORK SO HARD. IF U ARE GOING TO EAT LIKE CRAP!
not saying it works
but my low sodium has curbed it!
I don't want it!
I don't want to feel sick!
and running makes me TIRED so I Sleep not look for food at night!
lol simple no?
OTHER FLAWS & SOLUTIONS
1. POWER of SUGGESTIONS.
I was a sucker for pics of food! I order from pictures on menu! I MAY NOT WANT IT, but it looks so good!
SOLUTION : daily torture from sis FB Foodie posts. I mean a whole year!
YUP...can look at food pic and be EH!
2. ALL OR NOTHING
well, yeah That was a whole blog, thank you for pointing it out!
SOLUTION: work in progress
3. CAN'T MULTITASK
this is Not a flaw, but understanding this helps.
so...focused on exercising last yr! no brainer now
today ... with fitness like getting dress focus on EATING!
ITS A LONGER JOURNEY, But its lifestyle change!
and I like to focus on ONE Thing!
doing p90x and running drove me bonkers BC I can't commit to both at same time!
but if I think of it as cross training its easier.
Now for some flaw I see in others and my feeble attempt to suggest solution.
1. Great starters, bad follow thorougher!
this is a SPARKER that is great at sparking the fire and initiating. she gets all excited about the NEW and come week 2 she struggles!
solution? maybe try new weekly challenge! or do 1 wk of a program and switch to another on week 2!
is the variety in the program enough to keep u interested?
is it just the idea of doing p90x is boring?
2. SELF DOUBTER
this is a SPARKER that psych herself out before she starts!
Solution? TRY it! give it 1 min! if u hate it move on!
3. HATE CHANGE
that's me! This SPARKER could probably do great things but so scare of changing what she knows!
SOLUTION? EDUCATE yourself! then it wont be new! that is how I ran, eat right p90x. reading all ur blogs! gathering data, recording my own data!
4. PUT YOURSELF LAST
me too! dress my kids, fed my kids, make gourmet for hubby, me a slob and eat crap?
SOLUTION? make time, u r important too! and it can become addictive, beware of me! me! me!
