The Leg bone is connected to the knee bone...

Sunday, February 13, 2011

hi all,

Feeling fat after my binge yesterday!
well it's not a binge it's re-fueling! after realizing I have been too low in cals.

So here is a feel good blog! Mr. 160 is stalking me again! GRRR!
I thought I got rid of him for good!

Lol, YUP I got bones!

it's so weird to feel them!

I no longer have fatty knees (BTW knees are supposed to be boney)

I can feel my wrist bones (my watch is swimming on my wrist!)

I can feel my pelvic bone (now I can't SIT too long, ouch hahaha)

I can see my collar bone (first the first time in my life)

I can see my cheekbone (yeah didn't know I had those too)

I can feel them in my shoulders (a really weird feeling, can't describe)

I can feel my rib cage (So I think I like this weight I don't want to see them )

NOW if only I can get WARM!!!! BRRRRR........... losing this fat at winter is not fun!

I used to have warm hands! now they are ice cold!
Heck I am cold!

lol lost my blubbler ;p

wk1 vs wk 21

thank you for chking in!

What? Knees aren't supposed to be fat? Darn it, mine always have been, even when I was skinny.

But YOU look great, so please quit worrying about that number! One day of eating too well isn't going to put more than a pound on you...I refuse to believe that you can consume over 3500 calories in one day, much less more.

    None of the above!

One suggestion would be the Way of St James, which is a network of old pilgrim's routes throughout Europe to Finisterre in Spain, and has become a UNESCO World Heritage Site. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Way_of

While the number of pilgrims doing the Way has declined significantly, these routes have actually become very popular secular tourist routes for walkers and cyclists. (More than a quarter of a million people took it in 2010).

If you are going to have a route through Europe, why not have one that has genuine historical and religious significancel, and people can actually follow in a healthy way.

Thanks for accepting the Week of Positivity Challenge

Saturday, February 12, 2011

hi all

thanks for the interest I am so excited to see a TON of of positivity next week!

If you missed it:
Challenge is 7 day of blogging (or your norm). Positive blogs only, ABSOLUTELY, NO negativity!!! Status counts too

I was going to let you guys figure it out! BUT decided to provide you with some tips so that it would be easier ;p

TIP #1: Your blogging behaviour

When you are looking for blogs to read, WHAT blogs do you read?
DO you read WHO's Blog?
DO you title search?
How many Positive Blogs so you hit? How many Negative?

EVERYONE does the same thing...
So if you are writing a series of Negative blogs and wondered where the support went....
well....... we can only take that much negativity ;p

TIP #2 Got nothing to write (boring, crappy mood, negative)
Try an
inspirational blog
I did it blog
how far I have come blog etc.

TIP #3 Complete Frustration
Many sparkers maybe on the same boat
Try a
Teaching Blog
Coping Blog
Overcoming blog

TIP #4 Have a disease, injury, weakness
Other sparkers may have it too, or may not know they do
Try an
Awareness Blog

TIP #5 Have a Death/bad situation ;p
Try a
Celebration of their life blog
Silver lining

TIP #6 WORDING!!!!!!
Last night I wrote "too pooped too spark"
a sparker called me on it ;p THX
"I am tired now, need my beauty sleep"
Much better, that was exactly how I feel too. hahaha

That's all I got, if you got more please share!

WHO know we might get some popular blogs out of your guys this week!!!

Here's to positivity!

How funny...I was thinking that earlier. If I need to dump, I try to end on a positive. Also, when I think I need to dump, I try to analyze why before posting it. Sometimes understanding it makes it turn around into a positive. It is good to find the positive and have a plan.

My plans...when I feel angry, I can BOX it out (Kinect)
...if sad, I make a list of new ways to nurture me without calories
...if offended, I try to figure out why I let it get to me and then add it to my list of personal lessons

The point is that it IS POSSIBLE to turn it around and make the so-called negative into a positive without dismissing it's impact in our life.

Listening to my body! hungry, hungry hippo

Friday, February 11, 2011

hi all

this pass few days I was sooo hungry!!!!

I kept my 1500 cals this week!

remember I added SWIMMING And P90x!

I emoticon 6000+ cals this week!!!! 600+ mins!!!
I emoticon 10,000+ cals this week!!!

CAN we all say STUPID!!!

That is 4000 cals for the last 7 days!!!

OR 500+ cals a day this week!!

AND on top of that, I can't get pass not running a zillion miles a day!

ok 9 miles!!!

It's a sickness, a mental block!!!

Thank you LADYGWEN25 for your wonderful blog yesterday!

I did it!!!

I only ran 3 miles today and I didn't kick myself in the behind!

I am actually soo much prouder of these 3 miles then my 9, 7, 6 miles this week!
I ran with form, was in the zone!!

I am not cured just yet! I had to add 1 more mile of speed work to make it 4 miles!

SERIOUSLY when did running ONLY 5k a FAILURE in my vocab???????

Today the Y had monster float day! FUN at POOL DAY!

so after 2 hrs at the pool with DS and DD! I opted NOT to do p90x today!

plus reading LADYGWEN25 latest blog about ER visit!!

I have to re-visit my schedule! and LISTEN to my body!

I want to be fit and lose weight, but NOT at the COST of my HEALTH!

LOL how ironic is that ;p

so please all of you out there! listen to your body!

Just because someone can bike 15 miles, run 3 miles and swim 2 miles in one exercise regime! (you know who you are, you are still my hero)

doesn't mean I can ;p AND that doesn't make me weaker, or not progressing!!

you are only given one body! take care of it!

You are very welcome! :) Sometimes we need something like an ER visit to scare us straight...Mine wasn't scary for me,because i"ve worked in ER's, I Know what goes on, SO i know I am desensitized to it some, but it was more for my family because i rarely get sick.. but when i do.. Like everything else i go "all out"..lol.. But it does put things into perspective. I am my family's "rock".. And what i learned yesterday is.. as much as my 3 sisters argue.. I am their "rock" as well.. SOmetimes it feels like a heavy responsibility... Yesterday more like a blessing. So April..take care of you... You only have one go around in this life.. and while i know you're making it a good one.. Remember to make it a healthy one too.! :) Keep rocking it out sister!

Yeah, I didn't beat myself up yesterday for carbs being a wee bit higher 'cause I knew I'd more than made up for 'em at the Y.

Also, since I learned I was walking all wrong, I have been trying to focus more on form and less on distance/time. It is suprising how much of a habit it is for me to walk with long strides.

I do think your body needed those extra calories. The weight training nburns more than just what shows up in your heart rate monitor. All the rebuilding of muscle takes a lot of calories. Don't sweat it, sweetie!!
