Back from vacay, maintained ;p

hi all
long time!

just got back!
adjusting from mild weather to SNOW SNOW SNOW!

our trip went OK, if the weather cooperated
it was freezing in disney and bahamas
and got warm the day we leave hahahahaha

I was able to only run that 13 mile last wk
no run this wk ;(
sick, and travel! still stuffed up!

This week kids out for winter break! but I really plan to get back on track!

MY goal is to DRINK DRINK DRINK my h2o

so tired!! will spark asap ;p

laundry up to the ceiling!

LOL
no rest for the weary!
after the 13.1 we hit sea world! soo much fun!
yesterday was hollywood studios and magic kingdom for WISHES!!!!

got a cold ;( sinus is stuffed!
legs are fines today! but breathing through mouth ;(

need to EAT healthy food!
I remember eating 7 days of park food being ok!
NOW I can't crave veggy!
I can't even look at another turkey leg!

so weird how the body and taste buds changed!!!!

Making this day awesome! last day bef we hit the carribeans!!!

HOPE you all are on track!!!

SHARE: how to flush sodium out of body

today we had the much talked about DISNEY turkey leg!

I shared, sis had 1 on a dare............
I logged it in

1163 cal
28 protien
54 fat
560 sodium

YIKES

had conversation about flushing salt,
been drinking like a fish...I think...
but apparently not enough

DAILY max is 2300 mg of sodium

TO flush you need to drink 1 oz for every lb you weigh!

I NEED to down 10 of the 17oz bottle!!!!
at 6 and about to pop! and all the restroom stops

why is h2o so hard to do..... at least for me

    those things look absolutely delicious! are you starting to feel better now that youre drinking loads and loads of water? just think of what you would have felt like if you ate a big can of condensed soup! or a couple hot dogs!!! :O lol keep up your hard work! permanent 150-ville is right around the corner!!!

    glad you enjoyed the leg!! at 500 mg its a lot less than some prepared foods!

i tend to find drinking water easier if i make myself leave it available - on my desk, in the car... i am thinking it doesn't offer a lot of taste (and when it does its usually a bad taste) and maybe everyone telling us we have to drink it makes us rebel a bit and say no no no no no

    You don't need to drink that much water.
Just give it a couple days and you'll be fine.
It's only one leg on one day!

    My husband and I were at Disney World in September. Water is expensive there, so my husband bought one bottle and refilled it constantly at the water fountains. If you want to be careful mindful of salt and other things while at Disney try ordering sauce on the side. Usually you can substitute fries and such for fruit, carrots, or something a little healthier.

OMG! the salt, the sodium!

we went out to eat today! everything is sooo salty!
I gave my portion to hubby! I think my stomach shrank

Worried for the next couple of days, plan to eat out daily! easier ;(

while waiting on DELAYED flight, i posted a question on the msg board!

need to read up and revisit my EATING, muscle building, calories!
LOTS to learn

I need to set new goals!
UP MY WATER, apparently it's extremely important!

I am so confused on the calories in vs out stuff!
I am not sure if I am gaining muscle or weight because of my lack of H20!

I feel so bloated and icky ;( is it the sodium?
MIL food? it was realy high in salt too ;(
TOM visited (I don't get them any more due to mirena, but sister messed up all the woman's clocks)

just not confident with myself..... clothes no fitting like they used too.

up-ing my exercise is messing with my calories intake! LOL

NO negativity!
I am just so confused!

AND no scale!!! lol THIS is good for me ... I think

    Salt and hormones will make you bloated. You need extra water to flush it out..it seems counterintuitive but it works.

    It's water retention, most likely caused by the high sodium.
Your menstrual cycle will also cause you to retain water. Drink water, keep your workouts and you'll be fine!

    salt, hormones both can be culprits - relax
I have found that to my tastes a lot of restaurants over-salt their food.. salt and pepper into everything, rather than leaving it to us to add to our own tastes. and if you are not used to taking in as much as you are getting with your eating out then your body will retain fluid.. more water will help flush that out.
keep the faith - if you can continue to track your foods the best you can (eating out makes that all the more difficult as you don't know exactly what you are eating) and exercise and take in less than you burn you should be ok. check the daily reports and it will show you the differential - probably not good to do everyday but it will help keep you on track.
you're on vacation - enjoy it.. when you get home you can get back to what you were doing and most likely not too much damage done.

    Water and hormones do it to me all the time. Just drink lots of water to counter-act the sodium, exercise a bit (but not too much - that can affect your hormones too), and eat what you feel like eating.

But vacations are sometimes harder work than being at home!!!

    Don't worry, just drink as much water as you can to combat the salty foods you're eating. I think not being around the scale will be therapeutic for you :)

  I found the spot on SP that explains how they figure out how many calories in my range. Which is good for me - some weeks I can get myself to exercise a lot and some not much. Yes, I know I am Supposed to just always be on track ... but now I know what to add in when I am really moving my butt. :)

    It's probably the sodium and just coincidental so I wouldn't stress too much about it. Just jump back into your workouts as soon as you can and you'll be fine. Otherwise, just do the best you can.
