Now that I am training for "I DON'T KNOW YET" going to gym is easy.
And I got my gym buddy to keep me accoutable, and I go even if she cant
MY PROBLEM is the food!
reading up now!
up til now, just been eating within calories.
I still don't know my carb, protein, fat.
what is what, and how much..................
I am trying to make a visual aid for myself. but much research is still needed!
BUT this wk I started b210k, I burn about 550-600 cal daily, 5-6x a week.
This is week 2. I have been hungry EVERY NIGHT
I try not to snack, so I eat extra fruit, celery w/ PB and raisins (YUM)
It hit me today to change me daily cal burn (it was 215 a day), cal intake was 1200-500.
When I switch to 2000 a wk, it bumped me to 1500-800.
so I ate extra 300! feel sooo much better now!
AND now my protein intake jumped to 155
I don't even know what is protein, LOL MEATS is all I know........
well, once I read up, I will make a visual aid ;p
this is a subject I have been struggling forever!
TIME to face it!!!!!!

14 days tracking what he eats, exercising 1x week or more when he can ;p
he started at 175 now he is 165!!!! 5 more pounds and lost me status as the lightest!
ARGH! MEN!!! so unfair!
HE didn't even try!
he just stopped eating the foot long, and switched to 6'
he stopped eating dressing with salad, and had salad with dressing
at home "I" serve him 1 portion
I really glad though ;p

I remember the very first post I posted in msg board was:
If an Obese, an overweight and a normal person walked the same mile, how much calories do they burn?
Of course I got response, and most of it went over my head. Well first of all, I asked it before I started any exercise.
Well the answer is, it's an incomplete question. There are unknown variables.
NOW I KNOW THE ANSWER
And now I that I know the answer, I wish I am still 180lb ;p WHY?
At 180lbs, I need to burn off 250 cals to get results: (5-20 min. 14 min/mile)
At 160lbs, I need to burn of 500 cals to get results: (30 min, 10 min/mile)
NOW I burn 620 cals daily....wonder where that gets me ;p (45 min, 8.5min/mile)
NOW to the visual aid! Sorry it's NOT the visual aid you were hoping for.
It's the MATH kind!
WAIT don't go!!!!! I promise it's educational!!!!
For this experiment, I need 3 volunteers
YES, you , Mr 300lbs
YES, you , Mrs. 160 lbs and
YES, you , Ms Perfect 100 lbs
all experiment will be at 5mph or 12 min/mile
How much cals do you burn walking at same speed for 5 min?
OFF they go.......and the results are in:
, burnt 60 cals
, burnt 30 cal
, burnt 20 cal
WOW, how unfair, MR 300lb burnt 2x as much as mrs 160 and 3x as much as ms prefect!
How much cal do you burn walking the same mile at same speed?
OFF they go.......................and the results are in:
, burnt 218cals
, burnt 116 cal
, burnt 73 cal
WOW how unfair, Mr 300 broke 200 cals
How much walking do you need to burn 218 cals?
OFF they go........................and the results are in:
, walked 1 mile
, walked 2 miles
, walked 3 miles
AWW poor Ms Perfect!!
QUESTION # 4
How much cals do you burn running 30 mins at different speeds?
since I am Ms 160, everyone else can go home now ;p
running at 9.5 min/mil ............372 cals
running at 8.0 min/mil ............446 cals
running at 6.0 min/mil.............589 cals
IFI usually jog 12 min/mil for 30 mins, BUT I only had 15 mins and can run 6 min/mile if I tried. is it worth it? (not recommended, just for MATH)
Jogging at 12 min/mile (30)............289
jogging at 12 min/mile (15).................142
running at 6 min/mile.................294
YES it's so totally worth it!
THIS is like the above question, but I just want to prove a point
1. If you are 300lbs, just MOVE, no matter what you do, you are working 3x as hard as a normal person
2. If you find yourself walking 6 miles and not getting any result, check your pace! it makes a huge difference!
3. If you only have a few minutes to exercise, just do it faster, you might even burn as much cal as doing you regular SLOW.
4. If you have lost some weight and still doing same exercise routine, AND not getting the result you want! UP your exercise.
Note: I just realized why curves stopped working for me at this weight range! Lucky my c25khas built in increase! Didn't know this still just now!
Thank you for reading

I was trying to figure out how to best post this blog!
I am going to start with my VISUAL AID blog because most of you have read or seen it ;p
WHY did I write it?
well, frankly, I was tired reading "muscle more than fat" from sparkers, and found myself saying it WITHOUT understanding it.
I remember a sparker had it on her blog, it was that same pic and 3-5 paragraph of explanations.
I guess I took something out of it, but it didn't hit home.
My intention for the BLOG was just to show difference ways muscles is heavier than fat ;p
And it all just came to me as ideas........
WHAT IS AMAZING is the RESPONSE!!!!!
We are all presented with the same info, but all of you got something DIFFERENT out of the visual aid!
and in turn TAUGHT ME!!!
I had NO INTENTION of:
1. showing what a PLATEAU can look like! (but I guess I did)
2. showing that being 160 and TONED is sooo much better then 140 and FLABBY
3. showing that the NUMBER GOAL may not be attainable! LISTEN to your body!!!
4. showing that you need to find other measuring tools
5. showing the importance of non-scale victories!
6. showing that YES 1lb=1lb=1lb but volume is different
THESE Are all lessons I took out of reading all the RESPONSE!!!
I think the response is more educational than the post!
OK back to the learning thing!!!
When my daugher started montesorri school, one thing that hit me was:
YOU MUST TEACH THE CHILD!
everyone is different, you have to find what clicks and feed them the info the best way to can!
SO WHAT KIND OF LEARNER ARE YOU?
I googled it for you VISUAL, AUDITORY, TACTICAL learner!
I am NOT going to pretend to know the other two, so if you have insight please leave your suggestions:
which is you?
Learns with their EYES. Charts, Graphs, Diagrams, Pictures and Outlines works
Learns with their EARS, Vidoes, lectures and discussions works.
Learns with their HANDS, or experience. Lab, experiments, and memory works.
So WHAT I DO: is I heard it MUSCLE weighs more than fat!
Found a way to TRANSLATE it as a visual to teach me!
and NOW it clicked!!!
KNOWLEDGE is POWER!
when you are confused, sit down and find a way to best PRESENT the same problem in a different way to your BRAIN ;p
