ok I got that out of the way!
not going to look at scale! lol
losing inches, feeling great!

if my 160 is anything like my 170 it will be 3 wks plateau!
I am ready for you plateau!

I am going to focus on finishing my c25k (3 more wks)
hopefully squeeze into an 8, if I can find an 8 to squeeze into.
maintain 8 min mile!
run my hill non-stop!!!

LOL, I DON'T KNOW WHY i HAVE A MENTAL BLOCK WITH 160!

maybe because i have never seen 158 ever! and was 155 of a day!

    I've been on my plateau for over a year. Mine's been the 130's. The last time I busted that number was in college. We can do it together emoticon

My journey here is like Cross Country Road Trip!

I also think of this as a journey! But I don't see a wagon to fall from.

I put a post out about falling of wagon! and wrote this:
decided to keep it for future reference!!


I think of this lifestyle change as a cross country road trip!

If you try to pull an all nighter you just can't!

You have to take pitstops, get gas, check out the landmark, check out the scenery!

When you go cross country, you plan plan plan. I will stop at this state, see this, that. meet relatives!!!

and you might like a place, or get tired and stay a few days overnight! (aka plateau, your body needs a rest or adjust too)

I see my weight loss like that!
I can't just go go go! I stop to eat my PLANNED TREAT! go and have my PLANNED DINNER!.... havent done PLANNED VACA! but you get the idea!!!

BUT like all well laid plans, there is be a DETOUR, a ROAD BLOCK or a CHANG# OF PLAN!!

If you have a GPS:
you can re-route yourself on the spot
you can set to AVOID the route, go an alternative route.
you can just change your itinerary!

If you have a BUDDY: it will take a little more time but
your friend can guide you to next best route. it may not be as effecient as GPS sometimes

IF you are ALONE:
You just have to pull over, pull out the map and pencil!
You can go to a gas station and ask for directions!
You can pull into a motel/hotel and try again in the morning!!!

the journey is yours! Its not about getting there, but how you get there!

I met this lady on my day one.
She is not the dime a dozen slender ladies here at the YMCA.
She is now between the lady yesterday (aka old me) and me.
She is a few inches shorter. Same rectangular as the "old me" lady. Only she has 1.5 back roll!

I can only see her back!

6 wks ago, when first saw her, I noticed her because she was same as me and fast!
Today she is bigger than me and fast! Lol

She pass me about a quarter of a lap!

I am glad I met her today. I still have ways to go! She is my motivation!

so less than a week ago I tried on 3 pairs of pant

Capri jean labeled 10 is tight fit (muffin top)
one jean is labeled 11 is too small (can't BUTTON)
one dress pant is labeled 10, prefect (EXPRESS never do me wrong

TODAY!!! 10/19/2010
Capri jean is PREFECT fit
Size 11, I can BUTTON, tight fit (muffin top)!!!!!!!



So happy!!!! SO officially a size 10. not size 10 exercie clothes

This blog is not meant to be mean! I even stopped to talk to the lady! She was a runner! 3rd kid in a bjorn! 3 months old!


As I started my c25k, I lapped a lady, she was my height. Black shirt, black Capri, bjorn carring a very good baby girl!

She had a basically rectangular body shape. Shoulder same width as hip, and 3 rolls of back fat making up the angular shape!

As I past her I was thinking! I do not have a before picture! But is I had to choose a model! She would be it! The before pic I put up is after I lost 10 lbs!

She kept walking determined as ever. 6 wks ago that was me, walking trying to ignore all the ppl around me. Not letting that lady even bigger than me lap me twice. This was before I knew about c25k!

Today I implemented PAPAMIKIE's Chi running. Instead if looking down on the floor you pick a point and run to it.

6 wks and I never notice that one part of the track can be seen in the gym mirror!

Who was that lady running? She is for real running. Hair bouncing, arms moving! That is all I see. Plus a few glimpse of her sillouhette. A shoulder a waistline, hips! Wow!!

I was the woman I envied 6wks ago!!! The woman that actually ran, not jog!

After my last internval I stopped to talk the old me! She just started coming. Like me she is on last kid! I said good for you! I waited 17 months. She Was in the army so no more running. But she used to walk 5-10 miles before kids. What a great day.

At the weight room after, I am in awe with the person in the mirror!
I have on my granny underwear today !yeah thought I threw them all out!

And I feel, dare I say it, sexy!!!

Hahaha ok enough! Great day!

    Love the blog. There is nothing wrong with seeing the old you and realizing how far you have come. I spot the old me and the new me on the track every morning. It helps me remember where I want to be and where I never want to go back to. Stay strong and remember that the mirror doesn't lie. If you feel that it says sexy then strut your stuff emoticon
