Dreaming

When I started this journey it was because my health and living habits were in a very dark place. This is the fourth time I have gone down this road. The last three times I have ended up in a hospital. This time I have decided to to include other people in this journey instead of going it alone. I am letting go of my fears and have decided you are never to old to dream. My motivation is to get back into teaching in some arena. I am not sure where I will end up but I am going down this road and I am not going to stop. emoticon

  


Daunting Goal

I've never been a consumer of h2o. I said I would drink eight glasses of water which seems an enormous amount. I went to a person's page and one of their streaks was drinking eight glasses of water for 174 days! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! Does anyone have some hits on how to do it? emoticon There needs to be an emotion of a little guy running to the bathroom.

Quick tip-No Regrets

We have people that bring in donuts, cookies, and other food into the office all of the time. Today someone brought us a "gift". It was 12 muffins and placed them on our work station which is about two feet from my desk. They were easy to pass up in the morning but by three o'clock in the afternoon a hot cup of tea and muffin started to sound mighty good. My supervisor and I were contemplating as to whether or not we should have one or maybe split one. Another person said they were thinking about having another one when I had the idea to log into SparkPeople and find out how many calories and fat grams we would be consuming. 460 calories and 24 fat grams. The person contemplating eating two said it must be the jumbo muffin. I typed that in. It was not the jumbo muffin. All of a sudden that muffin was super easy to pass up. I decided it takes two seconds to know what I'm putting in my mouth. If I don't know, I'm looking it up.

Peanut butter sandwich, cut up carrots and cucumbers, a glass of skim milk; grilled salmon, salad, brown rice; pan enchiladas served with lettuce and tomatoes with a tablespoon of light sour cream; spices lime shrimp, couscous, steamed asparagus and sugar free jello; sautéed chicken breast in balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing, vegetable quinoa, glass of skim free milk; cottage cheese, pineapple chunks, toast with almond butter and sliced tomatoes.

Wasting Time

It's so easy too do. I looked at the clock and it is 6:30. I take a second glance and before I know it it is 7:00 and I am running for the door. I love to daydream. It has always fascinated me but what use is it other than being fun. We all have dreams. I once heard the difference between a dream and a goal is a deadline. It is time for me to reduce my dreaming time and start making some deadlines.
