Sept. 26, 2008 Fall is here!

I finished my 4th chemo session on Wednesday afternoon. I felt a bit under the weahter yesterday by late afternoon I was feeling better. I have 6 more weeks of chemo.. I am getting a cat scan before my next session and pray all looks good.

Woke today 730am, Richards snoring is getting to be a pain, I woke at 130am and went to the guest room for a while then back to bed some time around 3 or 4..

I did my mile walk this morning, I didnt walk as fast but I did it.

I am going to take it easy today, may be stop by the shop to say hello ..

Positives
We had a good visit and dinner with friends While in Tucson
We met a cute little lady also doing chemo,, she was a singer in Hawaii and and a friend of Don Ho.
Got Past Chemo No. 4 and am feeling good.

Monday Sept. 22 2008

I had a good sleep, Richard and I moved furniture and stuff at the shop
and came home exhausted.. I slept 8 hours he slept more like 12..!

I got up and did my mile this morning, it was beautiful out..
and I am feeling good today.

The amazing thing about the hairloss.. is I still have hair on my head
but now my eyebrows are getting thin, I didnt have thick brows to begin with.. also my eyelashes are shorter.. argh. I know they will come back.
Maybe thicker.. hummm
Also my tooth is hurting again, have to call the dentist too see if I can get in today..


Today I have an appointment with the Cancer Coordinator at Banner.
They offer a makeup class and give you free items.. maybe they can help me with my eyebrows.

Walked my Mile today
Got all my stuff done at the shop this weekend
Julia spent the night and we went swimming Sunday Morning

I remember when I lost my eyebrows; I didn't notice it until a while after I had lost my hair; by then, I was use to the hair loss, so I just had to laugh at my eyebrows. I wear glasses, so that helped to make it less noticeable. Mine were already kind of fine and light anyway, so I don't think anyone else really noticed either. I also lost some of my eyelashes. Is that class a "Look Good Feel Better" class? I went to one of those after chemo but before I had radiation. It was fun! We all got a box of free cosmetics, for our complexion type; and a lot of it was stuff like Chanel and Cinique! I got some help with the dark circles under my eyes. They also had a big bag of donated hats, and we all went home with 1 or 2 of them. There was also a sweet little lady in her 80's; they put a wig and make up on her, and she was so pleased with it, she couldn't wait to go show her husband who was sitting in the waiting room during the class. It was really heartwarming to see how good that made her feel. Report Inappropriate Comment

My Chemo Blog Sept 20 2008 In positive mode

Its Saturday Sept. 20th. I am doing a lot in my window feeling good land.

Yesterday I put in a full day at the Antique Mall, I was a little tired when I got home. Ate a light dinner and watched some shows I recorded last week.

I am going in again today, things are kind of slow right now business wise.
Weekends are usually the best for antique shop business..

I only work about 5-6 days per month with this treatment plan. Tuesday we leave for Tucson, I get a bit stressful thinking about it.. so I keep as busy as possible.
I had to take anxiety meds the night before last, I get my stress in my shoulders which cause me to feel my port.. when I practice my relaxation
breathing it relieves this feeling. I didnt take any med last nite and did fine.


I am going to get on the gazelle after I finish up here.

Positives

Had a good day at work, was able to stay all day.
Talked with lots of my antique friends I have not seen in a while.
Tracked my food and nuitrition ate balanced meals.
Got in 64 oz of water and fluids
I did 15 minutes on the Gazelle
Julia and Robin stopped by the shop on the way to Artville Play Museum

Sept 19 2008

I went into the shop yesterday spent 4 hours, dusting and reaaranging stuff
on the shelves.. I was exhausted really drained, after 3 hours. I stopped and took it easy,talked with friends and put away everything I started.
I came home by 2pm and took a cat nap, then got a second wind and went for a 1/2 hour massage. Came back home and was in bed by 6pm
I slept til 8pm.. Richard was already home, and had dinner by then.

We went to bed 1130pm and I slept til 830 am !! amazing I must have really been tired I do not remember the last time I slept that late.

I am off to the shop this morning. I will be taking it easy just sit at my desk today and will come early home if I feel too tired. I packed healthy lunch and snacks.

No time for a walk this morning. May be I can talk DH into doing an evening stroll with me if I am up to it.

Positives
I accomplished a lot in the past two days.
Had a great sleep
Sun is shining looks like another stunning day in Arizona
Talked with Robin last nite Julia was home safe from parental visit

Thursday Sept. 18 th

Yesterday I got a lot done. Did loads of laundry, I put a new clean slipcover on the sofa.
My Sister and I car pooled and went grocery shopping.. wow prices are crazy and we bought most things on sale.

Richard and I decided not to dine out, my taste buds prefer my home cooking. We did take in a movie. We went to see " Tropic Thunder" we had the theatre to ourselves, one other couple sat up in the back rows..
The movie was mildly amusing and just nonsense. We did chuckle out loud a few times.
The theatre was at the new River View Mall, which is beautiful at night perfect for strolling, with lights strung all around. The place was like a ghost town at 8pm shops empty..

I didn't get to walk yesterday.. but all my house work made up for it.

Today I am going into the shop and finish up some stuff. I plan on working Fri, Sat, Sun.

Positives

Slept 8 hours last night
Walked my mile this morning
Its a beautiful day out going to be under 100'
Enjoyed an evening out with my DH
