Everything Is Fine With Me

Monday, June 01, 2009

Well here it is June 1 , where did May go it passed so fast. I;m doing very good now, it took a little getting use to my dentures, but finally they don't hurt anymore. It has been all most 3 weeks since the surgery was done. Now it's time to get ready for the surgery on my right eye, which is schedule for the 10 of June. I'm very optimistic that every thing will go well. I know that cataract surgery isn't that bad,it's just that because of my weight I must go in the hospital for the surgery. Then they will put me to sleep to do the surgery. I'm really not worried about it right now. I will just take one day at a time for now.

Getting over the surgery!

Monday, May 25, 2009

It has been a week from last Friday that I had all my teeth pulled, it wasn't too bad getting it done. They put my dentures in right away and that was okay too. Then the following Monday I had an appointment with the dentist who made my teeth,he asked me how they felt I told him they were sliding around, and they made it very hard to talk. He told me that because I was so badly bruised that he didn't want to touch my mouth, so he made another appointment for tomorrow. I can't wait because my dentures are hurting me a lot. All the swelling is gone down, but I still have so much pain that I'm still taking the pain pills can't wait until tomorrow so he can fix my dentures for me. So I haven't been on spark people very much lately, but I will try to visit more often. I've got to go for now I hope you all have a Blessed Memorial Day.

Hi, hope the doctor can adjust your dentures to where they don't hurt. What a painful way to spend the holiday weekend. Thinking of you and hope next week is a better week for you.

Getting Nervous About Friday!!!

Wednesday, May 13, 2009

I starting to get nervous about Friday. That is when I go to the hospital to have all my teeth pulled. So this is considered surgery and I have to be put to sleep. I have been fine with it, but now that it's just 2 days away I'm really getting scared. I haven't had to be put to sleep in the hospital since I was 28 years old. I also will be having CATARACT surgery June 10, and on July 7th I will have a knee replacement done. Plus I have to have my other eye done also in July. So as you all can see I will be busy having surgeries for the next couple of months. Also I will still have to have a knee replacement done on the other knee sometime after 6 or 7 months. I'm hoping that everything goes all right, because in October we are planning to attend our nephew's wedding in St Louis, MO. Well I probable won't BLOG again until some time next week please keep me in your prayers. Anita emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Good luck on your upcoming procedures. My mom had both her knees done in July 2006. My husband had a partial knee in November of 2006, then a full knee on the same knee in February 2007 as somehow he broke the knee. Not only did he have to have the full knee replacement but they also had to pin the bone back together. He is now doing fine with little pain as far as I know. He doesn't complain about it anyway. My mom on the other hand used her knees as an excuse to try to get everyone to do things for her that she can do herself. She is a hypochondriac so I don't use her as a comparison. Just keep up on your therapy after the surgery and when that is done keep exercising and moving. That is the best thing for a person after knee replacement, something mom hasn't done.

Again good luck.

Thiry

Anita, will be thinking of you not only on Friday but through all your medical procedures. That is a lot to go through in such a short period of time. I ask God to be with you and give you the strength to cope during this time. emoticon

Mothers Day 2009!!

Sunday, May 10, 2009

Today is Mothers Day and I have four adult children, but I only have 2 that came over to see me and Wish me Happy Mothers Day. Even one of my grandson came over and spent some time telling me what's new with him. It seems funny that it's my 2 oldest boys who forget. So then I spend the day wondering what did I do wrong that the forget me? I gave all my children the same up bringing, but these 2 are different last month it was my birthday and again I heard nothing from them, not even a card or not even a phone call from them. I can't believe they are so heartless and also selfish, unfed only think about themselves. My husband took me out to lunch and he ordered prime rib for me, I told him that was extravagant but he insisted. He even went out a bought me a cake to share with the 2 that did come along with my grandson every year it's the same so that by the time evening comes along i'm so depressed all I want to do is crawl into bed and cry. I really don't like these holidays at all, because I know how it will end up.

I know I've forgotten a birthday or holiday.

It's not you they forgot; it's just that they forgot.

Annie, I struggle with the same feelings every year, with one adult son in particular. So I do understand. But yesterday I chose to focus on the 3 that did call and the nice things my hubby did for me, and the visit I had with my own mother so it really helped.
what a nice dinner your hubby treated you to!

Sometimes special events don't mean much to some guys!!! It's not that you did something wrong!!! It sounds like you had a wonderful time inspite of the fact that you didn't hear from the two boys!! Enjoy each day with no regrets because that day will never return again.

Happy Mother's day! I agree with L.Walsh--celebrate the good times that you are having. If you spend all your time focusing on the two that werent there and didnt remember, you wont enjoy the time you spent with the ones that did!

My Dog Dora

Wednesday, May 06, 2009

Dora is now almost 4 months old and getting cuter every day. My husband says I take better care of her than I do him I told him that's not true I still love him just as much. We took Dora to my son's house this afternoon, and she had a good time playing with the great grand children. We spent about an hour over there the kids really give her a workout, so that when we leave there she is ready for a long nap. My Christopher says that she is his dog, and I tell him no she is Grammies dog and Christopher says no that it's his dog, and my Katie tells him no it is Grammies dog. I have taken a lot of pictures of Dora but I don't know how to put them on my Spark page. I need to ask my son to show me how to do it. Well I have to go now so till I write another blog bye for now. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Looking forward to seeing your pics.

I too thought it was going to be a trip to the vet as my yorkie had been very lethargic this last couple of days. Turned out he had picked up an insect when walking in the woods the other day. It had been getting him down. But once removed he perked right up again.

to add pictures, you go to your sparkpage and hit edit sparkpage and you can go to your photo albums and it'll give you the option to edit photos or add photos and you click browse and find the pic you want to add. Then to put it on your page, you go back to edit sparkpage and click on one of the three boxes you have for photos and choose it from the list. You might even be able to do it directly from your edit sparkpage thing, I can't remember. But I love dogs lol have one of my own who's spoiled rotten, if a bit sick right now. So hope to see those pics soon :)
