I finally broke through my plateau! I lost a little over a pound. I did switch my cardio routine to classes instead of the machines at the gym. I guess it worked! I am actually loving my new classes: Zumba, Kickboxing (both new to me) and yoga (it has been a while). Well, I hope this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship! My classes and me!
I really loving my Zumba class, however I am counting the class as my cardio workout for the day. I supposed to put in at least 40 minutes (not a problem it is a 60min class) and burn at least 287 calories.
I really don't know how much calories I burned. I do know that I leave drenched. I choose a calories burn number between the suggested # between moderate to fast pace dancing. I don't want to over or under estimate to much because it could effect my weight loss program if I am way off.
I used to love parties, pic-nic, BBq's, and get together (actually I still do)but now I scared. Certainly it not the people, I enjoy talking, telling and listening to jokes. The games and the fresh air and just getting out. I pretty sure I scared mostly because I am concerned that there won't be enough if any healthy low cal, low fat foods. Just the usually unhealthy high cal/fat foods. Yes I do practice portion control strategy. However it can't be helping that much since I have not lost any weight in 3 weeks! I try to stay positive that the control I show every other day (mostly weekdays) in choosing the right foods, staying within my allotted calories. And of course I have not missed an exercise session since I started SP. I also try to look at the bright side. I have not gained any weight in the last 3 weeks either. I do fine going to dinners with hubby or lunch with my buddies. I know what to chose on a menu. It is these fixed "menus" when that falter.
I live in New York so they usually slow down in the Fall & Winter seasons.
As with the Zumba class I attended yesterday, the kickboxing class was new to me. I want to take the advice of switching cardio exercising every six weeks. I heard your muscles adapt and you may not see the results you first were getting. Plus I need a little variety in my life.
Well back to kickboxing class. I really enjoyed this class as well. I s--ked at it but I worked hard and perspired profusely . Plus I had fun not as much fun as the Zumba class but none the less I did have fun.
I suspect my body might pay for this but the class was worth it. I will be drinking more water today I don't want to dehydrate.
