Fitness That Fits Review

Monday, May 20, 2013

What made me decide to try The Spark Solution Program?
I was looking for a new way to get motivated and get back on track toward better health & fitness.

Have I seen or felt any results in this first week? I've felt more motivated, my weight has stayed the same, and making changes in my diet hasn't been complete, but I feel like this is less of a challenge and more of a positive life changing experience.

What do I like the most about the program? It's realistic and fits into my budget.

• What was my favorite meal from this week? Breakfasts!

• Which Insider Tip motivated you the most this week? Still finding a Tip I can embrace and make my own.

• What is my goal is for next week? Bump up my exercise by 5 more min each day.

7) Anything else you would like to share with your Team

Blogging all week has been a real challenge. I haven't liked it so much, I just don't like putting myself out there so much. I'm happy I did it and that I met the challenge though. Thank you to everyone who replied to my blogs.

And, here's an update: My son is wheels up, he did get re-routed from Dulles to Newark by way of O'Hare, but according to him, he's on his way to the "Best Coast" I'm so excited.

Happy Friday! Go Firecrackers!

Oh wow! Yesterday my mom was stuck at Dulles trying to make a connection to Newark! Five and half hours later . . . they finally got to leave for Newark. It was quite the day out East. Glad your son is on his way.

Firecracker Healthy Habits for March 6

Wednesday, March 06, 2013

What can I improve upon today?

I overate today. I also got outside late so I haven't exercised.

Last night was awful, sleep interruptions, then plans for today that included helping a friend, and getting overexcited (and worried) about the storm on the east coast. My son is flying in Friday night. We haven't seen each other in almost 2 years. He's visiting for spring break. I've had a day where I've wanted to smoke and for this, the best thing is that my husband has changed his brand of cigarettes. I could have exercised today. I could have not eaten as poorly as I did. And yet I did so the best thing about today is that I've gotten through it knowing I still love myself. I love myself and staying smoke free shows this. So, emoticon

One step at a time, baby steps leading to long term satisfaction!!

Thanks for all the comments!! Have a great challenge!
Go Firecrackers!! emoticon

Quitting smoking is the BEST, TOP of the LIST thing you can do for yourself, above all other habits you might want to change. I've been there and know it's tough, but I also know you CAN do it.

Oops! Firecracker Healthy Habit for March 5

Tuesday, March 05, 2013

I "bragged" yesterday that I have no problem cleaning out the ashtray for the trash collection. It's true I don't, BUT apparently that is where my husband kept his cigarette stash. I threw away the bag and threw away his pack. I learned this at 3 am this morning when Mr. Crazy got up to smoke and drove off to buy more cancer sticks. I didn't know. I was just being a clean freak, per my normal self. It is hard to live with a smoker. I am trying to remind myself that secondhand smoke is just as bad as if I were smoking. I'm still attracted to the smell.
Today my goal is to stay as far away from a lit cigarette as possible. The smell after smoking is repulsive and I am disgusted by that. Once my husband comes back inside it's just awful for a few minutes. I'm just incredibly grateful that he smokes outside, never smokes in the vehicle, and is respectful toward my not smoking. He finally changed cigarette brands which is great because it's not a brand I'm inclined to smoke. It's his addiction now and my dedication to not smoking. Long time in coming! He's not in a place where he is ready to quit. I respect this. But I am. I want to live to 120 and that means I must be smoke free!

Now about that obsession with housecleaning... emoticon

Good for you for quitting smoking, and help your hubby do the same. It's a nasty habit, and we all know it's bad for you. My mom had a stroke because of her smoking and she still can't quit. It' sad, but that's the way it is. *hugs* and best of luck with your hubby!

I had to chuckle at your first paragraph but am sorry you have to deal with the smoking. Maybe as your journey continues Mr. Crazy with get in behind you.

No more soda for you, that is great! And quitting smoking? AWESOME!!

Can't help you with your cleaning obsession.....I have the opposite problem, any advice there?

You didn't mean to. You actually did a caring thing without knowing it, but I don't think he saw it that way. I hope he gets to where you are soon so he can be healthier with you.
