My new granddaughter..

Tuesday, December 17, 2013

Thought I would share a picture of my granddaughter. The picture was taken Sunday when she was 1 week old. Her weight was 4 lbs 11 oz. She has no body fat. Can't imagine no body fat.

Picture of me holding my granddaughter.

Babies are so special...

Have a great day! Hugs!

Busy with my tomatoes..

Friday, September 27, 2013

I had an excellent tomato crop this year. I canned 50 quarts of tomatoes.

I made spaghetti sauce and salsa. I canned 12 pints of each. I've made 5 batches of Pica de Gallo and a double batch of chili.

I also gave away tomatoes to family, friends, neighbors and coworkers. I still have more tomatoes left. Nothing is as tasty as a fresh tomato on my salad.

Oh, my goodness, what I wouldn't give to have a fresh, sun ripened tomato. My father used to grow some but I haven't tried growing them myself as our climate isn't the best for them.

Yummy! emoticon

Gorgeous tomatoes!!!!! And you'll enjoy them all year long!

Have you tried dehydrating any? Just curious, because I love sun dried tomatoes!

Ooooh yummy. My tomatoes have only gone in, so it will be a while before I get to reap and eat.

I am so jealous! We have deer and can not grow anything. My Dad always grew tomatoes and there is nothing like a homegrown one. Do enjoy yours! emoticon

Get Well Card for Grandma

Friday, March 01, 2013

Grandma broke her hip last Saturday & had surgery on Sunday. Yesterday she was moved to a rehab center.

We are stopping after work to see Grandma at the rehab center.

Grandma keeps asking about Sara our dog.

Have a great weekend!
