ALMOST BLEW IT! DAY 6 WEEK 2

Sunday, April 11, 2010

We finished up the church sale today. I couldn't make it to Curves cause they are only open 9-11 AM Sat.
I had to go to RiteAid to print out some pictures of my GS's birthday party. BIG MISTAKE! not the pictures. Just when I checked out, I passed by an end cap with EASTER CANDY......5O% off. I didn't buy any for Easter but I couldn't resist the sale. M&M peanuts...one of my favorites!! YUM YUM!! I hadn't had many sweets since we started the challenge so I ate probably 2 packs worth before dinner. Eeeeuw! I almost got sick from eating them. But I saved the day by doing my best to keep in my range. Maybe not the most nutritious plan for the day. but it could have been much worse. And it spoiled my plan to do some strength exercises when I got home cause I was too queasy to do anything. I know better but sometimes we don't always do what we should do. Anyway, I got it out of my system. and tomorrow will be a much better day!
PS We had a really heavy frost this morning but my lilacs were just fine when I uncovered them!

Certain foods we grew up eating are hard to resist. My philosophy is moderation! I even have dark chocolates in our home, except not right in front of my eyes. This way there is no resistance issue - more like forgetting! Once in a while whenever I have the urge, I shall eat whatever I like in moderation. Whatever works for each of us, Right? Here are some calorie free goodies for you.

You did GREAT! So what if you had a yummy snack - you only had 2 packs, not the entire thing!!! KUDOS to you! Oh, and if you want, you can add those PEANUTS as a PROTEIN!

Glad you got that out of your system - you're back on the track and not letting a little indulgence derail you from your goals.
Glad to hear the lilacs pulled through - and hope that was the last frost for the season.

Day five Week 2

Friday, April 09, 2010

I had a much better day today. Went to the church to help with the actual sale today and didn't get done there until 5 PM. When I left I went to Curves and worked out. Then on home to get dinner. It is still very cold today and the wind was blowing like crazy. It just cuts right through you when it is like this.
I had to cover my lilac bushes this evening. Supposed to get down to 28* I hope they will be OK. That's my favorite flower!
Got to get some rest tonight and be back at the church in the morning. It will be over at 2 so it won't be as long a day.
Not getting much done at home, not looking too good here. Got to get some cleaning done! LOL

I hope your lilac will be ok...so cold!!! I can't believe that Ken and I experienced snow, sleet, hail and rain today as we drove to Ohio and back home. Very cold.
Have fun at the church sale today. Don't worry about cleaning the house...it will be there when you have nothing else to do. lol

Day four Second week

Thursday, April 08, 2010

I had a lazy day today! Didn't get anything done. Our weather turned cold and rainy. Don't know if that effected me or not but it certainly didn't help any. I did manage to stay on track with my food though! Hoping for a much better day tomorrow.
Our weather was calling for chance or sprinkles or flurries tonight ...after having temps in the 80's. LOL More than my body can handle. Supposed to get down to 32* I hope my lilac bush doesn't get frostbit. It was already budding out to bloom! emoticon emoticon

PS Rita I didn't count any points for this blog...I did't think I was going to and then I figured I better do it. emoticon

emoticon for staying on track!! You are so right to take one day at a time. Wish we could sometimes control the weather...it is 38* here and was cold and rainy all day after many warm days in the 80s with lots of sunshine. brrr Hope you covered your lilac bush with a sheet or light blanket and that it will be ok.
Keep up the great work!!
Blessings and hugs,
Heleln

I'm glad YOU had good food choices today! I was particularly horrible today .... won't go into details. They're rather messy ...
It's COLD tonight here, too! Whopping 46*! (Yeah, cold my derrière!) But, like you, after those warm days, it IS cold! I hope your lilac does make it! Cover it with a sheet! LOL

Okay - will put the points for you right away :0)

DAY TWO SECOND WEEK

Wednesday, April 07, 2010

I spent another day at the church pricing clothes for the sale this weekend. We got most of them done today. Now I need to go through my clothes and get them priced and out to the church
I stopped at CURVES on the way back in town and worked out. I promised to visit a friend of mine this afternoon and I told her I would be there around 4:30 as I was working at our church. And when I got to her house she had fixed dinner for me, that was a good surprise!! emoticon
She had baked chicken breast, roasted red potatoes in olive oil and some green beans! Right up my alley! Of course I picked water to drink.
Then my family was here again to walk and ride their bikes when I got home. Another beautiful day! 86* Woo Hoo! emoticon

Another Week and another Busy Day

Monday, April 05, 2010

Today starts another week of the challenge and it was another busy day. I did laundry this morning and picked up dead limbs(sticks) out of the yard.
Then off to the church to help set up for a inside yard sale. We priced, separated and stacked clothes on tables. Got some of them hung up, left some work to do tomorrow. I'm going to go though my house and take some things to the church.
I finally made it to Curves to workout for the first time in several days. My back was somewhat better and I thought if I worked out but not too hard that it would strengthen my muscles and maybe take some of the pain away.
Also did some of the exercise tonight for the challenge. Not feeling too bad. I think I can ease myself back into it.
We had a wonderful sunshiny day with a 75* high!
