Hi everybody.
As promised here's my report on spinning. Today they had the beginner class for spinning which is called"training wheels". They asked us to bring a towel and a water bottle. The instructor showed us how to set the bikes. How to get on, put the emergency brake, set the resistance etc. The last 10 minutes, we got a taste of how an actual class would be. I will tell you just those ten min. had me sweating. And thanks Madhu for advising me to use the gel seat cover. The instuctor told us that in a 45 min. class we can burn atleast 400 calories.
So altogether it was not bad. I will definately try an actual class,even if in the beginning I only last 15 minutes.

    I LOVE Spinning! And, yes, at first you may want to start with 15 minutes and go up by 5 minute increments. Once your behind gets used to the seat, you won't ever want to go thru that again! I've been spinning for 5-6 years and LOVE IT.

Belly Dance

Yesterday, I wanted to try something else than my usual routine (treadmill and elliptical) . Luckily when I got to the gym, they were about to start the belly dancing class. I thought why not try this . I've always enjoyed watching it. All you have to do is shake your belly and behind.
The class was pretty full. which shows that a lot of people would like to learn this art. It was a lot of fun. We learned snake arms,twist,the walk. The most fun was shimmy. I t's like you are having a seizure.
I would definately recommend it.
Next experiment will be spinning class. Sounds easy .
I will let you know how it went.

    Hello Anita,

glad you find something interesting and enjoyable to do and in turn loose weight as well. You must take a video and upload for us to see as well.

I am sure I will not try this one, I will definately look out of place.

    Hi Anita ! I am so glad you tried out the belly dancing class ! Isn't it amazing & FUN ? As for spinning - take good care and carry your padded shorts or a gel seat. Check out Coach Nicole's gblog on spinning - you will have the time of your life ! Good Luck !
