Week of 8-1 to 8-5 review & weekend plan!

Friday, August 05, 2011

Here was my plan for the week:

************Plan 8-1 to 8-5************** (edited 8/1 b/c I got time off from work)

Mon 8-1 AM- I overslept dangit!
PM- PC1 & turbo fire and/or dog walk //I just went to kick at night...it was a good workout!

Tues 8-2 AM- Fire 45 or BIO/BC//caught up on PC1
PM- Leave work @ 3, let dog out then either run outside or go to spiece and run before parents come over //yeah..not so much..I picked my mom up from work right after I left and we worked on the garage until 7:30. I was wooped!!

Wed 8-3 AM- slept in
PM- leave work @ 3 & have dinner w/ Sherry//I went on a 2 mile walk/run after Sherry left my house

Thurs 8-4 AM- Fire 45 EZ or BIO or BC //caught un PC2..I was sore from PC1 still!
PM- leave work @ 3/step class @ 5:30 and dinner w/ Lynn //Yes! Went to step and then dinner!

Fri 8-5 AM- PC3//moved PC3 to Saturday.
PM- A group of my friends and I are going to go see The Change-Up w/ Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman //dog walk after work before dinner/movie

Soooo..tonight I'm having dinner w/ a couple friends and then going to see a movie w/ a different few! That will make the night interesting. I might do something when I get home but it will be like 11pm and I will be tired so probably not!

Saturday- I'm going to sleep in, then do PC3 and maybe run. Although I find it very hard to have a productive run after doing any CLX workout. But I can try. Maybe barn if I have enough time, get hair cut (just a trim) at 3pm then Kim will probably come over. We are going out on the town Saturday night (her bf will drive us). Should be good times!

Sunday- Going to the lake and taking my friend Rita w/ me. Should go for a run either before the lake or while I'm there and I'm sure I'll be swimming at some point also!

Have a great weekend!

July review/August goals!

Sunday, July 31, 2011

Well I must say I had a very good July. It started out w/ the holiday which was awesome. I bumped up my fitness minute goal from 1,000 to 1,500 which was pretty intimidating but also motivating. I thought it was time to challenge myself and I DID IT!!

I also for the first time got up M-F in the morning to workout! It really helped that I motivated myself by saying every week I do that I will get a Tony 1-1 dvd.

I am right where I want to be for Chalean Extreme. I'm 1/2 done and ready to start Push Circuit 1 week 3 tomorrow!

I ran a mile in 9:14..a new record!!

****************************************
**************************************
*******************
August goals:

1,500 minutes again!
Finish CLX Push Circuit and 2 weeks of Lean (or P90X)
Run 15 times. Not putting mile or time restraints. I just want myself to make an effort and go out and do some type of run/walk 15x. I have a 10k and a 5k coming up soon and I must train!
Continue to get up in the morning to exercise. I'm going for 4 weeks in a row!!

That's about it..I might think of more later. Let's make August great!!

My favorite quote (Firecracker team)

Saturday, July 30, 2011

"Focus on results, you will never change. Focus on change and you will get results." -Jack Dixon

I am one of those people that I either like a quote or I don't. I found this quote about 6 months after I joined spark and it just completely spoke to me b/c it basically sums up what you need to do. When you just do the changes you need to do and do the healthy eating and the proper exercising the results will come naturally. If you just focus on the results and weigh yourself constantly and get freaked out when you don't see the results then the changes you want to happen won't. I just really like the way the quote was stated and I have to remind myself every now and then not to focus on the results..just focus on the changes you want to make and be healthy and happy!

I have seen several quotes on spark that I like but can't think right now what they are. And I really like the campaign Nike did about the shoulders, knees, thighs and butt. I have those on my motivational collage. Bascially they are about not being "skinny." Be strong and sexy! Have muscle..it's ok. It's sexy b/c it's healthy and you look strong!

That's it for now. I have the first season of True Blood waiting for me to watch!

The best and most profound quotes seem to be ones that are simply said but oh, so true. This is one of them- a great one to keep as a daily mantra! It totally makes sense and is one to always remember! Thanks so much for sharing it!

What a true statement if I ever heard one. I think that is why I get "stuck" right before going down to a new number, like right now I am stuck right around 140's. I change my thinking to the results. I want to get under 140. I should just be focusing on keeping with the changes, and let the results tag along. Thanks for the reminder.

Weekend Review and plan for 7/25 to 7/29

Sunday, July 24, 2011

Well I had a pretty good weekend. It was tons of fun, I got pretty good exercise but my eating was just "ok." Am getting back on track TOMORROW!!

Saturday I did alot of swimming. I got my mom to swim across the lake and back with me which was cool. We did some jetskiing also..that was fun! I had packed running gear but it was to freaking hot to be anywhere but in the house or in the water. Saturday night we went to a Mexican restraunt. I had way to many chips but we were sooo hungry b/c we had to wait an hour for a table! I just had nachos which isn't that bad..just chips, meat and cheese. Not real great though, but it could have been alot worse.

Sunday morning mom made pancakes and bacon along w/ a cream filled sub doughnut that we picked up last night after dinner..not good. But that was breakfast and lunch. For dinner I had steak and some chicken tenders from O'charley's w/ broccoli and smashed potatos. It was YUMMY!! I was hungry after all the paddleboating we did and I even came home and did PC3. So even though I didn't do cardio this weekend b/c it was to darn hot I did stay on track w/ Chalean extreme and I am really really proud of myself for that!

****************** 7/25 to 7/29*********************************
I'm hoping to continue my morning exercise spark streak! Which is why I have to get to bed soon. But here is my plan..subject to change based on unforeseen circumstances or the weather

Mon- Run in the morning
Kick at night

Tues-PC1/barn at night if not to hot

Wed-Run in morning/barn at night if not to hot

Thurs-PC2/Dinner w/ Ryan b/c he's leaving for 10 days :(

Fri- I have the day off b/c me, my mother, my friend Laura and her mom are going to see TAYLOR SWIFT!!! yeah, it's ok to be jealous!!! I think if i'm pretty close to my 1,500 goal and i work hard this week i might just give myself the day off to enjoy shopping, hanging w/ mom and the concert. We will see.

Sat- PC3. I would love to go to step also but my main goals/focus right now are running and CLX. Sooo I want to make sure i'm ready for week3 on 8/1 and in order to do that I have to do PC3 on saturday. And maybe barn depending on weather.

Have a great week!!
