He ate the whole thing?!

Nicholas ate nearly the entire Angel Food cake before I got up today. It was unopened last night.

    yeahhh. I'd have been really ripped if he'd eaten any chocolate.. esp. as I've been craving it and don't think we have any! I'm such a chocoholic!! HA!! Could have been worse.. but not much!

    ok, it wasn't the WHOLE thing, but almost.. there were scraps left in the bottom that totalled about 3 pieces remaining.

    OMGGGGGGG I would have died. But, at least it wasn't an entire bag of chips or a chocolate covered something.. right? A lighter option for over-board. LOL

Feeling Good

I am off to a good start, I think. I have tracked my food for three days now and have taken two walks a day for the last three days, which is more than I have done in many months. I have a bit of an obsessive personality, and I can already feel myself starting to obsess.. but I also know it leads to early burn out. My body won't be happy if I walk two miles on the second day or do an hour of cardio/strength combined, and I know I can't sustain that every day. I can reasonably take the long walk up our road, around the cul de sac, and back and then around our road circle at least once a day if not twice. It is .8 mile. I also did some yoga up at the cul-de-sac today which felt good. I am still craving chocolate, but we haven't got any.

My son ate nearly a whole Angel food cake this morning before I got up. OMG.. I couldn't believe it! emoticon

    HAHAHA Well, now your son is extra sweet for the rest of the day? :)

YAY for a nice walk and yoga and tracking!! Tracking is SO important! WOo hoooOOoOo! :) I am trying not to over-do it also. Some days I am bored or feeling like I want to do more cardio but worry I will get my body to used to it too quickly and eventually will need to do 3 hours of cardio for it to make a difference. lol Not cool at ALL. lol

Starting out

Feeling good about this.. nervous, but good.

I've eaten well so far and tracked my nutrition today. I took a long walk with my son and dog, and I did a bit of yoga. I refused the chocolate cake at the food pantry and took Angel Food cake instead.. which is not as bad and isn't as tempting.

My son saw me doing the Downward Dog yoga position in the kitchen this morning. He asked what I was doing. I told him it was the Downward Dog and it was Yoga. He asked why. I said it would help me with my flexibility so I could bend more easily and maybe have less back pain. He said, "You should tell Grandma and Grandpa about that! He thinks it would help them a lot. I laughed and said, "You're right. Maybe I should."
