One Year on SparkPeople

Monday, October 17, 2011

It was one year ago that I found this website and have made strides to use it to benefit the positive changes that I have made towards living healthier! This one year has been filled with lots of ups and downs, trials and tribulations which have slowed my progress but not my SPIRIT towards living a better life focused on health and well-being!! emoticon
Although, there have been GOOD days and BAD days, I have focused hard to make the GOOD outweigh the BAD!

This site has provided me with the continual support, motivation and encouragement that I need at times to stay the path towards reaching my goal of a healthy life. Despite being plagued with injuries throughout this year, I have continued to focus on incorporating exercises in different ways to help me with reaching my goals and the blogs that are posted provides great insight into being creative with exercises!! emoticon

One year later, I am still going strong and focused on the value of living a life that is balanced and healthy which promotes a sense of fulfilment! For everyone that has provided encouraging words, emoticon

Been Away; But Still Going At It!!!

Tuesday, May 03, 2011

Well, it has been awhile since I have been fully active on SP; but I have continued to stay true to working out and eating right! Unfortunately, life got in the way in some small parts; but I continued to stay TRUE to myself by exercising and making healthy food choices! emoticon

There were times when I worried that I would lose the ground that I had gained when I wouldn't log in to the site; but I would write in my journal information about my food intake, water, exercise and moods which kept me accountable during those times!

So, I am still pushing forward on this journey and continuing to learn balance particularly at this juncture in my life when things seem to become overwhelming; but I know that by FOCUSING ON MYSELF with HEALTHY LIVING THROUGH FOOD AND EXERCISE, I CAN HANDLE ANYTHING!

New Workout - Turbo Fire!

Tuesday, March 01, 2011

I have been wanting to try Turbo Fire for a while and finally bit the bullet and bought the package! emoticon

Turbo Fire is exactly what the name implies, its a "FIRE" that will definitely get you the results if you push yourself to your limits! There is even modifications for individuals not ready to do the program at full speed!

So, I am hoping that with this program and all the others that I have in my rotation, I should be able to consistently lose weight with such great variety!! emoticon

Through eating healthy, getting enough water and sleep and a great variety of exercises, I will continue to head towards my goal of a healthy weight and life!

Will keep everyone posted on my progress with Turbo Fire!! emoticon

It is really fun and challenging! The HITT workouts are intense! Chalene Johnson is really great at motivating. There will be points where you are so challenged that you will want to quit but she will say "you're not tired" and it gives you more energy to continue. Good luck!!!

Back to the Grind and Loving the Challenge

Monday, February 28, 2011

Today was my first day back to work after taking a week off to enjoy some "ME" time! emoticon Usually, upon my return, I encounter multiple problems that have been waiting for my return to resolve; but thankfully, this time there were only a few minor ones!! emoticon So, I am really glad that things worked out well at work during my absence!

Now, on to the Winter 1 Challenge, I have been increasing the intensity of my workouts slowly and hoping that it will pay off for me in a big way at the end of the challenge!

I have making great strides in eating healthy and getting my water down on a regular basis! So, as we enter week 2, I am hoping for a continued loss of weight and enough to keep the Teddy Bear Team rocking to the end of this challenge!!

Well, nothing else is going on right now so, I will say "good evening to all" and enjoy and rock out the rest of your week!!
