Done with week 2

I didn't lose much this past week, just .2lbs, but I think it's mostly that I lost so much the first week my body wanted to hold on to everything after that.
I'm doing my p90 exercises everyday and also walking. I'm feeling so much better with my body now that I am exercising again. I feel much more limber and comfortable with myself.
I'm also eating really healthy. The hardest part is still cutting out the alcohol. I've switched to light beer but now I have to limit it to only three nights a week and then eventually just Friday and Saturday then just once in a while.
I'm trying to plan my meals so it will be easier. For breakfasts I have been having a green smoothie then a snack of greens and an egg. Lunch is usually a lean meat with veg and dinner is vegetables, bone broth and grain with lean meat sometimes. Any snack in between are seeds or fruit.
I hope to lose another couple pounds this week though 3 more would be even better! I'm gonna keep trying.

First week back into Power 90

Yay! I have completed the first week of p90 (not p90x- not ready for that yet!)
I did super with my eating. I have not been counting calories but just eating lots of fruit and veg. with smaller portions of whole grains, meat and healthy fats. I'm usually not hungry because I feel like I am eating a lot but it's just mostly veg and things that are lower in calories than all that junk food I was throwing back.
I have stayed away from any white flour products and only have whole grains now. If I want something like pizza or tortillas I just make them with the wholewheat flour and make everything as healthy as possible. My only down fall is I have too much wine on the weekends. If I lessen that I'll do even better.
Now with the first week over, the soreness that comes with starting a workout program has dissipated so I'm feeling more of the good effects of the exercising.

I had my weigh - in and I lost 7.6lbs this first week. I'm very happy with that!
One week down 13 more to go!

I have been struggling a lot these past couple years with my weight and stressful situations.
I am at my heaviest weight that I've ever been right now and it feels so bad because I am the one who caused it. I am the one that can control what I do to my body. Every time I lost a couple pounds I gained that and more back. I know it is because I have not been in the right state of mind for it.
I am hoping that I am now ready mentally for the challenge of losing 79 lbs and keeping it off for good!
I have only just started this Monday, 5 days ago, but so far I am in the zone mentally! What I mean by that is that nothing is getting me off track. I am not allowing my thoughts to say that I'm giving up or that I'll start some other time. I'm doing it now and am going to do excellent for the next 90 days and then it should be a habit and not so much a struggle...I hope.
I have to not let stress get to me. So if I have some bad feelings I need to find other ways of dealing with it other than eating and drinking whatever I want to feel happier.

The cleanse: so far not so great

This is only day 3 of the cleanse but so far I've gained 3 lbs and have been semi constipated with lots of gas. Blah!
I think it's the fiber that is just soaking up all the water making me gassy and heavy. I don't know if the pain pills for my back are working against me or what.
I have been following the instructions very well, eating super SUPER clean and even added Pearl (pro-biotic) and having yogurt 3 times a day (my only dairy). I just got some dieters tea which uses senna to help with elimination but man with a cleanse I shouldn't need it especially with how well I've been eating.
I'm going to keep doing this for the whole 14 days but if I don't see better results soon I'm going to contact the company to let them know. I looked up reviews after, I should have done that before, and I'm not the only one with those problems. Seams a lot of people have the same issues with the total body cleanse from Renew Life.
Well, I'll check back in a few days hopefully with better news. emoticon

    I've done cleanses before but not while on pain meds. You are right about that I should check with the dr. I didn't really thing about it because I didn't think there would be any interaction with that and the herbs and fiber. I did look up the ingredients but checking with the doc would be best. I'll stop until then.
Thanks for reminding me about it, I'm usually very careful with things like this!

Cleansing for 14 days

My back is still sore and I can only do light exercising for the next couple weeks.
I got a Total Body Cleanse from my organic market and will be doing that for the next two weeks while I'm still healing.
I really think this will help me get to where I want to be because I can't work off all the calories I would normally be exercising off with the p90x system. So being stuck only walking and doing arm exercises made me a little frustrated. I did not lose any weight this week.
This is the Total Body Cleanse from Renew Life that I chose. There were a few to choose from but I liked that this was 14 day and came with fiber pills and pills to help with elimination. While doing the cleanse I must be careful with what I eat. I need to stick to fruits and veggies, healthy oils and lean meat, fish and eggs. The only dairy I'm having is yogurt. I can also have a few raw nuts or seeds but basically that's it; a really clean diet, the cleansing supplements and I added fish oil and Pearls to make it better.
So I'll see how this Total Body Cleanse does for me and write about how it's going in a week which will be halfway through.
I hope to lose 6lbs by the5th, walk, do arm exercises and stick to the clean eating every day!
