I am so happy...Our home is all decorated for Christmas. It took me 2 days but I wanted to take it slow so I wouldn't get all tired our like other years. I'm getting smarter with age. I have a 6.5 Thomas Kincade tree in our music/computer room. As some of you may now, it was given to me by my friend Esther's daughter when she was cleaning out her Mom's home. This tree is pre-decorated and Arjay just put it on the pole and raised the whole tree up and secured it at the top of the pole. Pretty amazing. We will be getting a picture of it, hopefully with Thor laying on his blankie beside it. It's too low to the floor for him to lay "under" it but he seems happy to be along side of it.
Our other tree in the living room is 7 ft. tall. I thought i was 6.5 but it's taller than the other one. That one is only pre-lit. But I have years of memories with the ornaments on that tree. It starts out at the top with a Hallmark ornament of a red heart with two love birds on it and the year 1979. We were married Dec. 24 of that year. I also have our 3 white bells that were on our wedding cake. I have them tied together with red yarn hanging next to the heart. I also have 3 ornaments that my Mom sent me through the years. One is an angel with my name on it and it has a blue stone to represent a sapphire which is my birthstone. There are 6 ornaments on there that I made many years ago when I was being crafty. They were the kind you cut out and sewed together after filling them with batting. I made enough of those that year to give one to each of our choir members. They were fun to make. Other ornaments are just cute, pretty and funny. There are also a few there that friends have given us though the years. It's fun to walk down memory lane. Oh, and of course, I have candy canes on the tree as well. They are pretty old though so we will not give them out. I use the same ones each year.
I have two teddy bears sitting around with Santa hats on them. I have a big one Arjay gave me years back for Christmas and it's sitting in the corner of our futon here in the music room with his Santa hat. Guess he thinks he's an elf! LOL The other one is Poo Bear and he's sitting on the fireplace hearth in the living room wearing his Santa hat.
Of course I have our manger on the mantle of our fireplace. It always gets center stage. I have colored lights on the mantle as well and they light up the manger scene.
There are other touches of Christmas in our other rooms as well. Not over done. Just a touch or so in the bathroom ( yep, I know! ) There is also a small 6 inch tree on the chest of drawers in our bedroom. Other touches in the kitchen are chair pads with cows on them standing in the snow with sleds and such. I have three cut crystal bowls sitting around with red ornaments in them. One is on our table. I have to admit they really look nice. The other two are in the living room.
Well, now that I've written a small book, guess it's time to stop. Just wanted to give you some idea of how I decorate the House of Morgan!

A Little Christian Humor
Jesus and Satan were having an on-going argument about who was better on the computer. They had been going at it for days, and frankly God was tired of hearing all the bickering.
Finally fed up, God said, "THAT'S IT! I have had enough. I am going to set up a test that will run for two hours, and from those results, I will judge who does the better job." So Satan and Jesus sat down at the keyboards and typed away.
· They moused.
· They faxed.
· They e-mailed.
· They e-mailed with attachments.
· They downloaded.
· They did spreadsheets.
· They wrote reports.
· They created labels and cards.
· They created charts and graphs.
· They did some genealogy reports .
· They did every job known to man.
Jesus worked with heavenly efficiency and Satan was faster than hell.
Then, ten minutes before their time was up, lightning suddenly flashed across the sky, thunder rolled, rain poured, and, of course, the power went off.
Satan stared at his blank screen and screamed every curse word known in the underworld.
Jesus just sighed.
Finally, the electricity came back on, and each of them restarted their computers.
Satan started searching frantically, screaming: "It's gone! It's all GONE! I lost everything when the power went out!"
Meanwhile, Jesus quietly started printing out all of his files from the past two hours of work.
Satan observed this and became irate. "Wait!,'' he screamed. "That's not fair! He cheated! How come he has all his work and I don't have any?"
God just shrugged and said, JESUS SAVES.

The First Step to Great Self-Esteem
by Jane Powell on November 14, 2011
“Value yourself.”
You have the right to be treated well, to value your own intelligence, to create a satisfying life for yourself and to value your own creativity. You are worthy of happiness, health, success and love. You deserve to have good friends, fulfilling personal relationships, and strong family bonds.
No matter how many difficulties you face in a day, remember to value yourself. You deserve to have a great relationship with you. Because, you are worth it!
