Jewelry and such

Wednesday, January 30, 2013

I dont know if any of you knew this, but I make handmade, unique jewelry.

I thought I would share my Etsy shop link for maybe if you reward yourself, you could maybe reward yourself with a pretty necklace or a headband or even a cute clutch bag.

www.etsy.com/shop/AngleAh

I know its a shameless self promotion, but I know I like to reward myself for a job well done when it comes to weight loss (which I havent got to reward myself in a while) and I figured it didn't hurt to share it and hopefully help someone reward themselves as well. I know a lot of you out there deserve a great reward for all the hard work you have done for yourselves!

:)

New GOAL!

Monday, January 21, 2013

I just had a new goal jump into my head today on my walk!

So I am flying to SIngapore in July and I want to fit back into my capris again by then, so I know I need to up my workout regime.

On my walk I thought, hey! If I could get at least 60 miles in every month, that would be great!

60 seems attainable. It's only 2 miles a day. Many days I walk more than five.

Good thought! It definitely couldn't hurt...unless you have to buy all new capris because you got too skinny... emoticon I hope you let us know how it goes.

WOW, To me 60 miles a month is an unattainable goal. And then maybe it isn't. Good on you.

Substitute for Crystal Light and soda.

Monday, September 17, 2012

So I have a problem with drinking sodas and also crystal light. I decided I dont really want to drink them anymore because of all the bad stuff like aspartame and HFCS in them, not to mention all the other bad stuff.

So I found this pin on Pinterest (I love that site) where they peeled an apple and cut it up then threw it in a pitcher of water with 5 cinnamon sticks for about 2 hours and you instantly have flavored water without all the additives. I love the stuff, I even got my mom to drink it instead of her diet soda and crystal light.

So after that I started experimenting, I just tried a cup of raspberries the other day, and that was pretty yummy, now I am trying strawberries. So far the apple cinnamon is my favorite and it helps with not wanting the yummy apple cider from the orchards in the area. I have heard of people making cucumber water as well, which I have tried, its a very crisp taste, but I dont really like cucumbers much.

So if you read this and try it, let me know what you think? and if you have any other ideas. I might try oranges next. I but that would be interesting.

I like to put pineapple in my water. It's a great use for the core of the pineapple. Cut the fruit away and cut the core in pieces and drop it in the water. I love it!!! I bet the strawberries are good too. Definitely better than the Crystal Light.

Way to go!!

Day one haha

Tuesday, June 19, 2012

Its only one day, but I did awesome. I didn't eat any extra sugar, which is a GREAT achievment for me. I am going to do it again today and see if I can keep it going. I am also going to keep soda out of my diet, except one or two diet sodas a week and slowly get rid of that too. (I like having a soda when I go out to eat with Brian)

I have been doing a challenge with my sister for the last three weeks that has been going awesome. We each have to walk or run 6 miles a week. If we don't hit our goal we have to do something we hate doing. Haha mine is eating a salad for lunch two days in the week following. I HATE salads. I know I shouldn't, but I always end up over eating when I have salad because it doesnt fill me up very long.

A day of motivation.

Friday, November 04, 2011

So today I am taking the time to put together some motivational tools for me. I redid my goals last night and so I am taking those and putting them into a checklist.
Things like "Run 3X a week" and "Drink 8 glasses of water a day" That kind of thing. Then I am going to print them up index card size so I can carry them everywhere with me. I might find I have to redo them after a week, but the last time I did a check list it worked wonders with setting up habits and getting myself into the groove.

I am also taking these checklists to another level of motivation. Every time I hit all my checks for a week I am going to add a dollar to my reward I have for hitting my goal weight. Also some other ones too. If I hit all of the checklists and the "funding" checks, I should have a pretty good fund for my reward. Which is a trip overseas. I have never been out of the country so I think that going where I have always dreamed of would be a great motivator for me to work towards. Plus I would be going at my goal weight so I could go and look great at the same time.
