So I gained wt again

So since I have been on hear last a lot has gone on my husbands health is still not good and I gained about 10 pounds most from vacation and summer drinking however I have still been working out and I just finished a savage race which is like a tough mudder it was 6 miles and 26 obstacles. It was a ton of fun however my body was crazy sore for a few days after. Today is the first day I went back to the gym and ran a 5k on the treadmill and worked out some arms. I already signed up for my next race which will be a 5k color run now all I need to do it get some of this extra wt off and I will be in good shape emoticon

Well I did it and it was completely unexpected, after the Boston bombing a group of runners in PA decided to have a 5k run with all money going to victims to help with medical expenses and I saw this in the paper and thought well I am suppose to be doing a 5k in a few days and I really didn't think I was ready cause to be honest with you I haven't been to the gym in like 2 months I have been focusing more on yard work and running children to practices and working. Anyway like many other things in my life decided on a whim I am gonna do this 5k, and guess what I did it, it was not easy but I found my motivation in everyone else around me and I ran the whole thing in 33 min. I can not wait to run the next one which is supposed to be this Sat but not sure yet may have to hit the next one. I have already started checking out 10ks emoticon

Its getting warmer

The warmer weather is just around the corner at least I am wishing it is, and with that warmer weather is smaller clothing. I am still stuck at the same weight and its been that way for a while so I need to give my body a little jump start. I am happy to be maintaining my weight loss but I decided to break down the rest of way into small goals. My first one will be 6 pounds that will put me in the normal weight range for someone my size. I was doing really good when I was hitting the gym and doing zumba but 3 hours of gym time everyday was not working out for me everything else was falling to the waist side so I have just been doing the zumba, however I do have some 5ks sneaking up on me and need to kick it up a notch, so bye bye 6 pounds emoticon

rough week

This week has been a little rough for me my back is not feeling the greatest and either is my knee I have desided to take it easy for a little and see what happens Im still keeping up with my zumba however running on the tredmill is out for now. I really wanted to bust it out this week since I will be away for a few days over easter and I wanted to be in a place that I felt confortable and not have to worry to much about my food however thats not happening so wish me luck this weekend my moms cooking is always a weak point for me. Hope everyone is having a great week!

I always jump on my wii fit in the morning to see what I weigh just to keep a handle on my wt and make sure what I'm doing is working for me and today I was pleasantly surprised that the scale said I lost 3 pounds I almost fell over my wt has been at a stand still for the past couple weeks so I'm hoping that I broke threw the platue by adding zumba and I continue on the downward path guess we will wait and see what the next few days hold. emoticon
