Cutting out the empty foods, exercise for 10 ,I mutes, take the stairs....it's easier to just sit, sleep and eat what tastes good. (Big sigh..)

    Isn't that the truth. Work on one good habit at a time. Start with the exercise. Develop a routine. When you don't have to think about it work on another one. Don't let yourself get overwhelmed and feel like it is impossible.

I think I'd like to find the time to do it once a week. Daily seems to be too demanding for me and longer than a week seems to be too long.

    well I a back daily. Perfect world no such thing at least in my life. I am healthier then at 51 when I had so many medical problems I promised myself if I can over come this I will get healthy. So I am trying!!! now 68 5 K runner

I'd lost five pounds. It's really not that much. But a friend came to my door to leave something and said "have you lost weight? Your face looks thinner!" I was shocked! My face? I'd never thought I'd see a difference in my face. My stomach, fanny, legs, arms yes. I'd never considered my face would show my improvement.

    The first place it was noticed by my husband was my feet! We were getting ready to go out, I walked to the door with my shoes on.. He told me I needed different shoes because the ones I was wearing looked like a little kid playing with moms heels. :D

    The first place I notice it is the waist of my jeans or slacks. But I will say when I lost weight back in 2008, everyone commented about my face too. I also noticed my ring size dropped a whole size and when I look at pictures, my neck looks so skinny too.

Comfort ________ (fill in the blank)

Thinking about comfort food today. Food that provides comfort. Thinking about it that way makes me realize how temporary it is. But what else isn't? A comfort bath is temporary. A comfort walk is temporary. A comfort book is temporary. A comfort movie is temporary. So when we need comfort, which is best? Probably the one that not only gives us comfort but also provides a greater benefit or additional benefit that may be longer lasting.

So...
A movie - not much long lasting or great value in my eyes.
A book - reading is good for the brain, I think it would provide a greater benefit.
A walk - all kinds of benefits including better circulation, respiratory action, possible visual stimulation, etc.
A bath - well, I guess you may come out cleaner than you were, unless you use bathoils. Probably not much additional out of this one.
A cookie - (or whatever else is my comfort food for that moment) - not much at all in the lasting benefits department.

Conclusion - I'm going to try to make apples my comfort food!

It's so true for me that if the food is out and visible, I'm more likely to eat it. I need to be careful to put away the non-healthy and leave out the fruits!
