Task for tomorrow

Wednesday, August 13, 2008

I wound up FreeCycling 39 items last weekend! I was very pleased. (So, was my husband.)

My task for tomorrow is to attend physical therapy with a positive attitude. (I really would rather spend the day at home tomorrow.)

It is not so much the day I go to physical therapy but that I have to do what they showed me every day after that... So I started doing tai chi which is an improvement over other things I could be doing. emoticon no no tai chi doesn't do that in the older peoples version.

I completed my tasks the other day (except that the mail only took 55 minutes); I've already done my planned tasks for today (exciting things like balancing a checking account statement).

My planned task from now until the end of the weekend is to FreeCycle at least 20 items.

Another day, some more tasks

Wednesday, August 06, 2008

Well, I did complete my tasks the other day. My fibromyalgia's been a bit this week from funky sleep, a not-so-great diet, and a new exercise at PT. So, I took today to do easy stuff (like sorting more mail, organizing the bills, and clearing out some e-mail).

My goals for today are: 1 hour mail sorting (I've already done 40 minutes, so this one should be pretty easy), a SparkPeople stretching video, and day 1 of an Assumption novena.

Task of the Day and Vacation

Wednesday, July 30, 2008

I just got back from Michigan. We had a nice time. My husband went to training, and I went to visit a friend in Detroit and to the Fr. Solans Casey Center.

We also found a restaurant that has a gluten-free, non-ice-cream-sundae dessert: a flourless brownie with raspberry sauce, ice cream, whipped cream, and candied nuts. It was the first time I'd had a non-ice-cream-sundae dessert (with the exception of applesauce) at a restaurant in over two years! Even better, there's a Bonefish within an hour of my house! I know where I'll be going for my birthday.

I did get the three items FreeCycled (listed, they still haven't been picked up; I've e-mailed the woman again). Today, my goals are to get the vacuuming done (something which, apparently, my son didn't feel the need to do while I was gone) and to spend at least 20 minutes sorting the mail.

The Demise of Valerie Fat Camp

Friday, July 25, 2008

Unfortunately, Valerie Real Life keeps interfering with Valerie Fat Camp. You know, exciting things like bill paying, pet care, 92-degree-full-sun-no-wind heat. Yesterday, my husband and I were going to go fly kites. There was NO wind. The tree tops weren't so much as twitching. So, we went to see "Journey to the Center of the Earth" and ate popcorn with extra butter. Actually, I ate popcorn with extra butter. He doesn't like movie theater popcorn. Oh well.

I think I'll switch my focus to Valerie Task of the Day. Today, my task is make three FreeCycle listings. I'll let you know how I do.

Even fat camp has to move to plan B due to the weather!

We should get together; I have a bunch of things I want to list on eBay that I keep putting off :-)

Maybe not separate Valerie Real Life from Valerie Health Camp so far? It's the same Valerie and doesn't help to put her down in any way; she's a beautiful, fun, exciting girl worthy of your love and fond attention.

Check out this Spark article I found:

Way to go, yes, take small steps, and they add up. If I can do it anyone can! I'm still taking a handful of small steps, and working on increasing them and it is working, tiring, but working.
