Getting Back On Track!

So the last few months I've put myself on the back burner and just stopped all together on taking care of myself. Just have had a really rough time and got really discouraged. My sister has lost 60 pounds since the beginning of the year, and I'm happy for her but she eats soup every day for lunch and cereal for dinner; and she's still able to eat junk food and not gain anything. I can't do that (I like to have variety). And I get to thinking that maybe if I do what she was doing I would drop the weight quick; but unhealthy eating and not eating has gotten me to where I am today and I'm so tired of it. So tomorrow is a new day; I've printed off a ton of recipes from the site and I'm sticking to it (Even if my family members still want to keep junk food in the house- doesn't mean I have to eat it.).

    Honestly, I would be worried about her. She may be losing weight fast, but is she getting all the nutrients that her body needs to live a healthy, productive life. I strongly believe that your success will be healthier and more maintainable. emoticon

    Hey Diva,

I have been struggling also. I weighed in today at 204.6 & had been at about 192-195 pounds for a while & now can't seem to get back under 195. I have had a lot of setbacks & some days just frankly don't give a damn!!! I just want to throw my hands up & not worry about what I eat.

I know I must get in order b/c my mom was diagnosed with lung disease a while back & I need to be here for her & my 2 boys. So I am searching for my motivation to get back on track.

I think you can get back to the old you!!! Just keep on believing in YOU!!

  You are not alone in this. I've had many a slip up. We just need to tell ourselves, we are worth it, had one slip up, but now we're moving on to better things. Keep up the good work!

Back From Vacation!

I got back from vacation over the weekend. I went out to Illinois (near St. Louis, Mo) to visit family. I had a great time and wish I was still there. So I'm hoping to be able to move out there this October. We will see how things go. But fo now it's back to the old grind.

Moving Toward Success

I have moved my weigh-in days to Sunday; it works better for me (so that I'm not binging on the weekends).

So at my weigh-in yesterday, I've lost 8 ounces and I know I've lost inches. I will be taking my measurements this evening after I get home from work. With other plans I've tried, I'd lose weight quick but then I would end up gaining it all back if not more. On here I may be losing the weight slower but I know it will stay off this time. I've also set a goal for myself to get in 5 servings of veggies per day, 4 serving of fruit per day and 3 servings of dairy per day. I started doing this last week and I wish I would have done this sooner. I just feel so much better and healthier. Can't wait to see how many inches I get to say good-bye to. emoticon

  


Munchies

Today was my weigh-in day, and the scale showed I have gained the 4 oz. I lost last week. The culprit being my munchies. I eat healthy all day and then in the evenings I get the munchies for something. I was told that drinking a cup of peppermint tea helps to replace the craving for snacking. So I am going to see how that works tonight.

Weigh-in

Okay, I was really bummed out about me being sick this week and now I'm not so much. Wednesdays is my usually weigh-in day, and being sick I wasn't even thinking of that. So I weighed this morning and I have lost 4 more ounces. It's not a pound but I'll take it; I'm consistently losing (whether it be a few ounces or pounds) each week since joining here.
