It's been a while...

Well I haven't logged on in a little bit, so I thought it was about time. Things have been crazy busy as we are working to close out the school year and now I am starting to prepare for what is to come this summer. I am really hoping that this next month and summer are successful in my weightloss. I have been trying to eat well but I haven't been tracking my food and I think that has been a problem for me for the past few months. I have been working out at least twice a week but I know that I need to do more, I need to be more consistant. This afternoon was a bit eye opening, I went to the doctor because of allergies and a sore throat but they had me step on the scale..... it was not what I was expecting. In addition, the change in the number was significant enough for my doctor to notice and ask me about it. So, that is a bit of incentive for me.

Today was a good day!

Today was a pretty successful day! I made a lot good food choices, I think it helped because I had it all planned out. When I got home from work I ran on my ellptical for 20 minutes and then did some strength training. I'm hoping for another great day tomorrow!

Well I haven't been as consistent as I would like to be but I'm still working. I went shopping yesterday just to get a couple shirts, ya know, I just needed something not winter related to wear. Let me tell you, that was eye opening. I know I have been working but I need to work harder! Kickboxing has started back up again so that will help me and our new instructer is VERY high energy!! And I think as the weather gets better that will motivate me too.

Stress as a motivator

Things have been crazy stressful for the past few weeks. Everything from a death in the family, being sick, my kickboxing class being cancelled, and a little car accident that has left me without a car and all of the financial stresses that come along with that.

Today I came home from a pretty crappy day at work and was worrying about the car ordeal and trying to readjust my budget... I was so frustrated. I knew that I needed to think about something else or else I would be a big emotionally drained mess. So I turned my frustration and worry into elliptical time, it felt amazing! All of the other stuff will work itself out, I need to make some time to take care of myself.


Not the best start but it's still a start.

Well, I tried to get myself back in gear this week. I wasn't as successful as I had hoped that I would be but I definitely did better than I had been doing.

I did pretty well with the working out. I was supposed to start kickboxing back up again this week but the first night was canceled because our instructor was sick and the second night was canceled because of the weather. So I am hoping that this weeks class will be back on track. Also, I think I may be taking up yoga too! I am really thinking that the combination of both kickboxing and yoga will really do some great things for me. I am pretty excited about that.

It was the eating part that I didn't do so well on. I found myself doing pretty well during the day but once I got home I allowed things to fall apart. I was eating just to eat and I wasn't making great food choices. This next week is pretty busy so I think that will be in my favor. There won't be time to snack! I am hoping to do better this week.
