It's been a good weekend

Sunday, November 16, 2014

It was so nice having four days off to rest. I really needed it after working 12 days straight in a row. It is very hard to work that many days as you get older. Seven more months and I will retire. I can do it!
I went to my WW Meeting this morning and was down .6 pounds. Thought that was pretty good considering I haven't been eating that healthy and my sleeping schedule is pretty messed up too. I am planning to go to bed early tonight.
Wishing you all a wonderful week.

Things are looking better at work

Wednesday, October 22, 2014

A few weeks ago I wrote a couple of blogs about my boss giving us a hard time at work. One of the Union Reps told us that he was told by the plant Manager to leave us alone. He hasn't bothered us in a couple of weeks so hopefully things will remain calm.
One of my coworkers is retiring and we are having a potluck tomorrow. I decided not to participate in the potluck so I am bringing myself a special lunch. I am having my homemade navy bean and ham soup with veggies along with some strawberries. I will bring a WW treat for myself so I will not feel deprived.
I did sign the card and put in $5.00 so I feel I did my part.
I will be retiring in June and one of my coworkers told me she wanted to do something special for me. I told her I would love to have a picture of everyone and have it put in a scrap book. I hope I was not wrong in requesting that.
I can still remember when I graduated from high school I was devastated when it ended. I am NOT going to be devastated when I retire but I am going to miss a lot of my coworkers and want to remember them with pictures.

I think a scrapbook of pics from your coworkers would be great! It was definitely not the wrong thing for which to ask! I'd love the recipe for your navy bean and ham soup. I know you are really busy right now, so when you get the chance maybe you can Spark Mail it to me? If not, that I OK. As I said, I know how busy you are wit with work right now!

It is better to tell them what you want then to put together something you either can not use or will not enjoy. Pictures allow us to revisit the past and the memories.

Its been a good weekend ; )

Sunday, October 12, 2014

Had a good weekend and kept pretty busy yesterday. I went to the swimming pool yesterday and it was so nice just walking in the water and then swimming some laps. Then, of course, the jacuzzi which I absolutely love.
I went to my WW Meeting this morning and was down 2.6 lbs. I have been on track for the last five days which is the best I've done in a long time. I am doing both BLC and the 5% Challenge. Love both teams that I am on and feel I am going to get somewhere this time.
I have one more day off as I have an eye exam in the morning. I will probably just go back to bed when I get home. They put that solution in your eyes and you can't see so I may as well go back to bed for awhile.
Wishing you all a wonderful week.

Dancing is Fun ; )

Sunday, September 28, 2014

Had a great Saturday! However, we had to work but a little extra money is always nice. Then went to a 50th Birthday party for one of my coworkers. I am a sixty year ole woman and haven't gone dancing since I was in my 20's which explains why I am not a very good one.
The main thing is I had a great time and want to take dancing lessons after I retire. I feel so stiff when I dance and I don't know if its because I am so heavy or haven't done it in so many years.
Hope after I lose weight I can move around a lot more. It's in the middle of the night and I am trying to wind down. I didn't overeat while I was there either.
Now I am going to try and go to bed. Have a great Sunday.

You odn'don't need dancing lessons! When I was a mere toddler my Mom told me to just "feel the beat " and move! Turn on some music every day and just feel the beat and move! You don't have to do fancy moves... When you have fun and just feel the beat and move everyone thinks you are the greatest dancer! fun is the key! You probably just felt stiff because you moved your body in different ways than usual and that is even more reason to put on some music tonight and dance! Enjoy! Glad you had a fun weekend! Dance (always) like no one is watching!!

It was EXERCISE! Having fun, exercise, laughing at one's self. That's living!

Glad you enjoyed it and have also discovered something to look forward to.

BLC Blog Expectations!

Sunday, September 21, 2014

I am so excited that BLC has started again. I signed up for the Blue Lions Tracker Team. I have a real problem with journaling and I think this is going to help me. My main goal is to journal every bite and hopefully I will get some feedback from my team members.
I plan to be in the chat room daily even if I only have time to write one sentence I plan to check in and stay in contact with my team. I will also be supportive of my team too.
I joined the 24 hour fitness center and part of my goal is to attend four days a week.
I also signed up for the 5% challenge so hope I can keep up with both teams. One team I WI on Wednesday and the other one on Saturday. Hope this doesn't get me too confused as the weight is not going to be the same.
I want to wish everyone good luck. I am ready and hope to see some progress at the end of twelve weeks.
