Heart Rate Goals

This weekend I took my blood pressure and heart rate. It wasn't a first thing in the morning resting heart rate, but it is something to start with. According to the SparkPeople calculator here are my heart rate goals:

Your heart rate ranges (in beats per minute)
55%: 135 bpm 75%: 159 bpm
60%: 141 bpm 80%: 165 bpm
65%: 147 bpm 85%: 171 bpm
70%: 153 bpm

I believe my heart rate was 69 bpm, my blood pressure was 100 / 69'ish.

Tonight I am watching I can make you thin with Paul McKenna. The two episodes tonight are Overcoming Emotional Eating & Busting Your Cravings.

His program has just 4 rules.
(1) Eat whenever you are hungry.
(2) Eat only what you want, never what you think you ‘should’.
(3) Eat consciously and enjoy every mouthful.
(4) Stop when you even think your body is full.

I will let you know what I think of these shows after I watch them.

  

Couch to 5K Week 1 - Done!

Yippee! I did it! I ran 4 days this week & made good progress! I like where the time on my first mile is going. Now I need to work on my strength and focus on flexibility so that I don't injure myself! Week 2 here I come (on Monday)!

dresses

To help me motivate, I did some online window shopping for my size 12 dress. My final goal is a size 10, but at 12, I get to buy a new dress. Actually, along the way I get to buy more than one new dress but the end dress and wearing somewhere fun is pretty motivating right now. The blog image is the first on and I'll add the 2nd one I found to my images. These are both from Nordstrom. I don't think they are my final selection but they are good for thinking about why I am doing this!
