I am having a similar problem. I can't figure out why I keep binging. It seems like I am back to my old habits some days. I can only keep trying and hope that I can find out what is causing these binge sessions. emoticon

What sets you off? What triggers your binge?

Once you figure out what that is ... then you need to sit down and figure out how you are going to fix it.

Take it one day at a time.
Take it one meal at a time.
Take it one hour at a time if you have to.

Start giving yourself steps to take BEFORE YOU EAT.

If I feel like eating something ... and it's NOT on my menu for the day ...
1. I will call my friend.
2. I will drink a glass of water.
3. I will take a walk.

For me, it's after supper. I start craving a crunch, so I try to build in a late night snack and stick to it.

Talking about it here is a great first step!! I'm proud of you!

I agree with the previous comment. Looking at the long-term can be extremely overwhelming. Every positive thing you do improves your health and well-being in ways that may not be obvious now. One small step at a time gets you to your destination. Many of us on this journey face the same challenges. For example, I, like many others have health issues which interfere with our best intentions. The only thing to do is do what is known to work and keep at it. I am an emotional eater, and will also get into the binge mode. That is when it is time to look at what is creating the urge to eat.
I am always available if you need a sounding board, shoulder, or that little kick in the pants. emoticon

I'm in the same place. I can't stop bingeing. I do agree its one day at a time.

229 :)

Saturday, December 25, 2010

stay in my 220's THANKGOD even though I havent been lifting a finger this whole week and have been super lazy and wasnt paying attention to my weight loss at all
but i have stayed in the 1000+ calorie range and havent gone onto 2000 like i used to.
i like to binge on fruits now.. like 2 apples and a banana instead of a big bag of doritos, chocolate, soda and other junk.
so weighed myself this morning after breakfast and it was 229! :) very happy with that.

Total Lose In My First Month: 13 pounds !!

Wednesday, December 22, 2010

I stepped on the scale today even though I'm on my 3rd day of periods and you know what mister scale told me?

emoticon 229 emoticon

I don't know how this is possible but I'll ignore that fact for now emoticon cause I ate bad for 2 days. And I had periods pains & cramps so wasn't exercising at all. Pretty much have been sleeping past two days.Haven't drank more than a glass of water a day past 2 days...only diet coke & fruit punch. And here I am FINALLY down 231!

I have no cramps today. Sleeping is done. Will for sure be exercising today 2+ hours & eat as healthy & good as I can!

I should weigh myself twice a month only. This weighing myself weekly is torture for me.

I hope I never go back to 230's now. NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER!!!

congrats! They say (whoever "they" are) that giving yourself a break usually helps with weightloss. Everytime I eat healthy and exercise all week then take a day and have a hamburger and fries, I lose weight. It's craziness but seems to work :) But even more kudos for losing weight during your TOM. That's awesome!
