March Madness 2009

This March Madness doesn' t have anything to do with basketball. This is the next journey I have decided to go on. March marks the start of a new, healthier me. I have decided to pick up the slack to get beach body ready for summer.

After researching calorie cycling, I have decided to clean up my diet and follow the cycling guidelines. This is day 3 and so far, so good. I've been able to follow the daily calorie limits without feeling deprived. I have been eating lots of fruits, veggies and lean meats. I have really limited the carbs I eat and hope I can continue on. I hope to drop some body fat by doing this to show off all those hard earned muscles underneath.

I have tried to drop my cardio down to 3 days a week with more strength instead. I may have to adjust this as cardio is the one thing that helps me clear my head.

The average person might think this is all "madness" to go to such a dramatic change in diet and exercise but I am determined to tone up and shape up before summer. I can do this!

Get Up!

I've been telling myself for some time now that I've got to start getting up in the mornings and getting my exercising in then as I have no time in the evenings. Well it's time to make myself get up and get going in the mornings. As the seasons change, it's going to be even harder to get up so I've got to do something now!

    So I'm curious, did U get up early 2day? Are U going to 2morrow? It's hard, I know, going thru the same thing. But I've been doing better. We can do this with a little coaxing to each other!

    You can do it! We can do it together! I have been going through the same thing every morning for the last month! Getting up a little earlier each week will help your body ease into it.

    You can do it. Even if you start small and get up 15 minutes early and workout for 15 minutes then that's 15 minutes less that you have to do later in the day. Before you know it you will be used to it and able to get up earlier each week!!!

Another year older!

Well I turned another year older last Monday (9/10) and want to make the most of what I have left of my 20's. I would love to get back into shape and be exercising regularly so I'm in the best shape possible when I turn 30 next year (YUCK!). That is my goal for this year!

Losing Sight

Well it has been a struggle for me to get back into the exercise routine. I have been so unbelievably busy and haven't had a lot of time. I have noticed that I'm so tired anymore and having problems with my back. I'm hoping if I get back into the exercise routine that it will help! Cross your fingers for me!!! I'm ready to get back in there!

    Start off small and be consistant. Each day add a little more and soon you will see results. Keep the motivation going and get support when you need it. We will be here for you!

    Just work at it each day! Take it slow. Find 10-15 minutes here and there to exercise and you will eventually get in a good workout throughout the day. Try to find ways to get unplanned exercising in - like doing squats while drying your hair, stretch in the shower in the morning, do calf raises/leg extensions at work, etc...

Gaining Routine

Well I'm slowly but surely getting back into my normal routine. I've gotten back into the habit of writing down all my food and tracking what I eat. I really need to get back into a regular routine of exercising. I'd like to be able to get up early in the mornings and get it done. Baby steps.....baby steps.......

    That's the way to go. Start small and work yourself back into a routine. Keep up the great work! It seems like you are taking great steps.

If you need any motivation, stop by the brides to be challenges message boards :-D You surely would inspire some of our other brides to be!
