A lesson learned (I hope)

Saturday, August 03, 2013

So I have been doing pretty good this time around with SP, eating right (pretty consistently) and exercising (sometimes not so consistently). I have tried not to get too focused on the number on the scale and what I mean by this is not that I don't weigh myself everyday but that I take the ups and downs as they go. I have told myself unless I stay at a the number on the scale for 3 days that I have not really lost or gained the weight. SOOOO now this is my lesson- I did slip and allow myself to get completely OBSESSED with the number one week. I had set a goal weight that I want to reach by December 2013 and I was within 2 pounds of it-Yeah Me, so I thought. Well I was so strict about my eating and exercising (breaking rules #1 and #2) and then I became obsessed with the number on the scale (there goes rule #3) that I reach my goal #!!! Hahaha, the joke was on me....I binged for three days after that # was reached. Not because I was rewarding myself with food but because I had deprived myself and become obsessive. It took me days to have my body feel healthy again after all the food I ate and 2 weeks to get back to the target #. So I have learned my lesson (hopefully) to eat correctly and to exercise with out becoming obsessed with a number but in order to feel healthy!

Time to shop?

Monday, July 15, 2013

I think it is getting close to that time. I have had to throw out many undergarments and a lot of my work clothes are becoming too big. I would prefer to spend my money on workout clothes but I suppose my boss would prefer me to look professional and not like I am wearing a sack.

61.9 mph- My personal best!

Monday, June 17, 2013

So my day didn't start out so shiny...
I wanted to go to the beach- beach it was cloudy
teenage child had attitude- I got irritated
I went to go do my Couch to 5k podcast- iPod dead
I still went and jogged for 4 miles!
Best part is according to my GPS tracker my pace was (drum roll please) 61.9mph!
Honestly it felt like I was just jogging this program is amazing!
Like I said a personal best...Olympics here I come!

Okay-seriously I didn't even jog at my real personal best but it was so outrageous that every irritation faded away!

The Case of "The Incredible Shrinking...."

Tuesday, March 12, 2013

One day I noticed something on my body was smaller no it was not my legs( unfortunately )but neither was it another place women generally lose weight ( and do not want too), no it was my bellybutton! A bellybutton is such an insignificant thing on our body. I mean no one ever starts out a health journey saying "I am doing this so my belly button will get smaller" or "No, I can't eat that doughnut because I am watching my bellybutton". So here I am continuing on my journey with a smile on my face and significantly smaller bellybutton!
