Getting back on track...

Couple of difficult months - gained back most of the weight I lost. Lots of eating out/fast food/junk food. So many reasons why - job situation, uncertain future, general depression, rebound laziness after many busy months and on and on. Then I just got fed up with my clothes getting too tight again and feeling disgusting. Saw an ad for a gym for regular people with great prices and a 30-minute express circuit. I've gone twice this week and am getting my calories back under control with the food tracker. It makes such a difference seeing that number as opposed to just knowing how many calories are in what I am eating. Starting off again with small short-term goals. Go to the gym 3x before the end of the week, keep within my calorie range for a certain number of days. Small, positive changes add up, so hopefully I'll be able to stick with it this time.

Feeling pretty good this week. I'd lost 9 lbs between the end of January and mid-March, but then between school and work fell off the bandwagon. I was sure I'd gained back the 9 lbs, so I waited until I was more or less back on track to weigh myself. Amazingly, I'd lost whatever weight I had put back on, plus 1 more pound, bringing my total lost to 10!! emoticon I have never tried to lose weight before and actually suceeded. I feel so proud. My next short term goal is to lose another 10 lbs this month before I leave for New York on June 14th. emoticon
