Well, I have been at about the same weight, give or take about 4 pounds, for a year now. It has been a really hard year, emotional and all. I have managed to continue to exercise through it, and that is what has allowed me to stay at the same weight. My eating habits have been somewhat relaxed, but calorie burn has saved me!!!
I feel very strong physically, and am happy I added weight training during my big (30 pound) loss last spring. I still want to lose 10 pounds because, although some call the last 10 vanity pounds, I just want to be in the middle of my healthy BMI, instead of at the cusp of the over weight range.
Now here is a list of the things that have happened since my first 35 pounds:
1. We moved to Montana and bought a house
2. My oldest decided to go to public school after homeschooling for K-4th
3. My Mom and Dad were in a bad car accident and my Dad died
4. I lost 30 more pounds (I think I had to do something I could control)
List of things that happened since the second 30 pounds (and now the slow down):
1. Grieving doesn't really start until a year later because you are numb the first year
2. Two more kids decided to go to public school (only one left at home)
3. Redefining my role at home after stay at home/homeschooling for 12 years
4. Husband lost his job this year due to a school board making side deals and clearing the way for new coaches instead of strong academic leaders. Administration wanted to keep him
5. Now we are selling our house and looking for a new job and place to live. Hoping to find something soon. We just want to be part of a community and go about living decent lives.
6. Summer is here and everyone is used to something different now (due to school), we are readjusting and exercising is harder to accomplish
So these are my current struggles. I am writing here just to put it down somewhere. I think I will manage to get my schedule back, I do have family support for exercise. And my husband wants to eat healthy this summer (good timing for veg and fruit)! We hope we will find a place to go where we can have a church family and enjoy the outdoors. God has plans for us and we are willing to follow. Please pray the doors will open soon and that we will see the way clearly.
Thanks for reading. Feel free to add me as a friend, I don't blog often but I like to leave thumbs up and comments on feeds and exchange spark goodies!:)

Well we have been in our new house for about 6 weeks, but it is still a jumble. We were not able to move in until after my husband's new teaching job started because the closing date kept getting pushed back. We had to live in a hotel room for about a week with 4 kids and my parents (at least we had a two room suite, but still)!
It is finally starting to settle down, and I am trying to get back into the good habits of exercise and eating healthy. My oldest (babysitter) decided to go to public school this year so I have to get the younger two to watch the baby. But the baby is going to be three in a few months so they are doing ok playing with her now. Still, some days are harder than others and getting my exercise time has been challenging. Honestly, though, I have not been as adamant about having it. Fixing that little by little.
Our house is wonderful and we are really enjoying our new town. Our church is great and we are starting to meet people. We can't believe we already had a first snow (Oct 3), but we are looking forward to the adventure of winter. At least I have the best mother-in-law who bought the kids all new snow boots!!
The kids are enjoying living here and starting up activities like 4-H and Girl scouts. And of course we are adopting a cat, which we have all been waiting for a long time.
We praise God everyday for His continued blessings! Even when it is stressful, we know we are where He wants us to be. And we are grateful!!

Well, we are moving in three days. Saturday is the truck loading, but our house isn't supposed to close for about two weeks so we are travelling around to visit family on the west coast until then! My family is close to where we are now so I will take the kids there while my husband and his step-dad drive the stuff to a storage unit in MT. Then we will meet in Oregon to visit hubby's family for another week. Hopefully at that point our house will close and we can move in in time for school??!!??!! If not, well, I guess we will have a different adventure, either way we feel so blessed to be able to do all of this! We are excited about what God has in store for us and our prayer has been for Him to prepare a place for us! I think that prayer is being answered!! I will check in when I can, but my computer access and time will be limited for a while! Keep checking on me just in case:)
I can't wait to get back on track with exercising, there is so much going on I think I am probably burning the same amount of calories!! But I want the routine back. It will happen!! Just like everything else, we have decided that this whole thing is the "faith and patience" adventure. We are learning to trust God in His timing and wait for the blessings as He delivers them. Unbelievable!!
Keep sparking in the mean time!!

Well, my husband got a job in Montana after all! He will be teaching math at a high school. We are very excited and we have been trying to do this since last year! We went on a trip up to the new town, which is very small. We were planning on renting a house for the first year, but it is very difficult to find one, so we are trying to buy instead. This is very exciting and stressful because we have never bought a house before!! And doing everything long distance is interesting. But, while we were visiting we found a house that we like, so now it all comes down to timing! We will be very busy for the next few weeks, so I will only be around a little bit. I am trying to eat right and exercise, but it is so crazy! I will check in when I can! Keep up the sparkin'!!

I went shopping and found a really cute skirt. They didn't have my size, or so I thought (Out of size16). I decided to try a 14 anyway, even though the skirt is straight (not my typical style due to hips from 4 babies). Well it fit and I was so excited I had to buy it immediately! I haven't been this size since before my son was born in 2005 (so that means early 2004 was the last time I wore a 14)!! Well, just thought I'd share! And say keep at it everyone, it works!!
