I've missed all of you terribly! After letting myself go for far too long, I've gotten back on track with healthy living. My best friend's getting married in April, and my goal is to be down at least 2 dress sizes by the time that rolls around!
For today's visualization, focus on the next small milestone you'd like to accomplish. Sometimes, thinking about the baby steps (the next five pounds) can be much more manageable than always focusing on the long-term outcome (reaching your goal weight). Remember this whenever your weight-loss journey seems overwhelming.
My first goal is to make it back to 'one'derland! Back when I first started SP, I swore I'd never get over my highest weight of 196. Here I am at 212 . I'm doing goals a month at a time, and since May is almost over, I'm making this June's goal. June 30, I'll be back down to 199!

For today's visualization, imagine yourself looking at your ''before'' and "after'' pictures after you've lost all the weight. How does it feel to reflect on how far you've come? Keep this image in mind if you find yourself struggling today.
I think I'll be surprised at the difference. It's hard to tell as it's happening at the time, but the way my body changes without me even noticing (both toning up and flabbing down) amazes me. You would think you would notice those kinds of changes in your own body, but i suppose since we don't spend any time away from it, we don't notice subtle changes. Starting tomorrow, I'm going to take daily pictures on my phone so I can start tracking the changes!

Visualize yourself reaching your ultimate fitness goal. Don't be afraid to dream big! How would it feel to accomplish something so amazing? Carry that feeling with you whenever you start to doubt yourself—if you can dream it, you can do it!
My ultimate fitness goal...I've already blogged about wanting to walk The Way of St. James so I feel like I should pick another one. Although I don't necessarily want to teach yoga, I would love to get to the level where I could. One of my friends is going through that training now and it's basically 5 hours of yoga a day for a week at a time. Right now, I know I don't have the stamina to do that. In addition to that, to do chaturanga from plank position and not from my knees would be amazing!

Imagine yourself at the grocery store checkout with a cart full of healthy groceries. How does it make you feel to know that you're making the best possible food choices for yourself and your family? Remember that feeling the next time you think about buying a tempting food.
I've already had this experience several times. When I see mostly items from the produce section in my cart, I feel extremely proud of myself. I know I'm making the best choice for me. Every once in awhile, I'm tempted to buy a small treat like a carton of frozen yogurt or Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches, but I know me, and once I start eating that, I'll go overboard and it won't end well. It's best for me to keep all temptation out of the house rather than trust my will power!

Let's start with a quick visualization exercise. For 30 seconds, imagine yourself sitting alone on a beach, listening to the waves crashing along the shore. Let the calming sounds, sights and smells center you and help you focus on the goals you would like to accomplish today.
I like this exercise! It's amazing what 30 seconds of calm can do to your mindset!
